After I found out just how useful (and fast) this tool is to use, I purchased one for my own property, which has a steep slope.I was tired of "falling down my hill", so I decided to create my own switchback trail. I waited until it rained, and the hillside was softer to dig.It took 6 hours to create this switchback trail. It would have taken days using a shovel. I did refine the trail after creating the basic switchback path. However, I am thoroughly please with the speed and the quality of this tool and highly recommend it.

This tool can handle anything you can throw at it I live in the high desert very rough Terrain and I broke the last McLeod tool I got it wasn't from this company. The handle on this one seems more than strong enough to handle any task and I throw at it! I would call this a hoe on steroids but that seems not enough do you have a tough land you need to clear and don't want to use power tools I would suggest this one all the power you need. I was not paid to give this review...

I ordered this after I saw the forest service using them for heavy duty trail construction. It is my favorite trail building tool. Quality construction and I prefer the wood handle to fiberglass for reduced vibration.

SOLID tool. We beat the heck out of this thing putting it to work and it's super strong.
