FLEXIClassic Retractable Lead Cord, Medium, Red

I bought another brand at a pet store that doesn’t carry the Flexi brand. The other brand did not do well. The retractable lead locked up on me after about a week of use. Even though the company was very good about replacing it, I’m still leary of that brand. I’ve had several Flexi’s through the years and only had one to break and that was after many years of use.

This self retracting leash makes exercising you dog easy

I have a bombay cat, and the breed likes to walk on a leash so I bought this for my cat. First I thought that I did something wrong since it felt a bit too big and heavy for her but she is enjoying it at the park. She does not mind the pull and goes as far as she wants, runs, play and even climb up the trees. We realised that it actually makes her feel safe. When we put the leash off, she does not leave us but when we put it on she feels confident to explore and play. It has been working very well for us in the end.

Have had many flexi leads over the years and always good. This one snapped after 2 weeks of light use. Lucky my dog is alive. They have obviously reduced quality to increase profit. They have also allowed their marketing department to design the shape which means it now looks very sleek but doesn't fit the hand well.

Bought this lead thinking that flexi leads were reliable. Have been using this lead for about 2 months. Quite quickly the retraction started working on just a periodic basis - not ideal when you're about to walk on the road and the dog has about 5m of lead to run around on. The braking system has then jammed with the lead on short rendering it useless as an extendable lead - exactly the reason we bought it. Didn't expect to have to keep buying a new lead every 2 months. Poor production. Past the refund period so can't contact the seller. Would now expect the seller to get in touch to resolve this.

I’ve had 3/4 more of these over the years, bought them at the garden centre, literally they had snapped within couple of days of using.. This one is so far it’s holding and lm using it on a very lively cocker spaniel, it’s been less than a month but we use it at least twice for 2 long dog walks every day... I should have get another one, perhaps l will.. l ‘d recommend it, without hesitation.

Personally I have no trouble with this dog lead, I find it works fine, it’s durable, well built and excellent value for money.I had a smaller flexi lead before this and that lasted about 10 years. Before purchasing the one I am reviewing here I bought one from eBay and it was utter rubbish - not Flexi I must add. This is why I purchased this new one.I wouldn’t waist my money on other brands. Flexi are good, very good.I my opinion = why with confidence.
