Works like pliers. I used these to start the clamp then a different tool to finish it off.

I originally bought a set of Performance Pro CV boot pliers from Advance Auto. They were not built right and didn’t allow the tool to pinch the clamp. I found this set on Amazon, ordered it and received it the next day. I have used this set to replace two CV boots and works great!

This worked perfectly for my weekend project of rebanding my cv axle boot on my Mazdaspeed 6. It's a little awkward to use two 1/2 drivers to get leverage but it works great. Saved me a lot of money which always makes me happy.

Good for the value works as intended

The centre pin fell out when I was opening and closing it, no load on it eirher. The pin is pressed into the centre piece and takes all the load. Could be a decent tool but not today.
