The padding around the ears (furry) and the comfy chin strap and the features of this helmet that set is apart from standard helmets.The fur around the ears does help to keep the wind out and keep your ears warm. It's detachable too for warmer days.Overall I got the black helmet and you could say it's rather plain and functional looking but it serves it's purpose very well and has a reasonable amount of padding inside to keep you protected which is the main function. Thankfully I haven't had a fall in this one yet (just a matter of time!) but the padding feels sufficient (if not brilliant).I found the chin strap on this one really comfortable (I'm not entirely sure why it's different in any way to others I've used but it felt nice on).Overall for the price (currently ~£50) you can't go far wrong. There are a few decent alternative sets around £60-70 with goggles included that are of similar quality but if it's just a helmet you want and like the sound of the warm ears, this is a pretty decent choice for sure.

The LANOVAGEAR Ski helmet looks solid and well made. The straps has a chin padding, and is well padded inside, with removable ear cover, altoghether making the helmet quite comfortable when on.The helmet also fits well. size wise is as expected (accurate per the recommended measurements in the description chart).There are multiple small air vents at the top, front and back, allow air circulation.I particularly like the removable ear cover. We do quite a lot of dry ski slope skiing. In the warmer days, heads can get very hot and sweaty under the helmet, so the removable ear cover is particularly welcome.Overall, I am pleased with the helmet.

The most expensive helmets on the market can set you back in the region of £200 at RRP, this offering is a quarter of that price and a fine option if you’re on a budget for your upcoming ski trip.The construction is solid, the helmet uses lots of padding, both inside, on the detachable ear pads and on the chin strap, making for a very comfortable fit. As you’d expect with most modern day helmets, there are air vents on the top, only a handful though whereas on the pricier options you can find twice as many vents, not that this is an issue. To tighten the helmet is the standard turn dial which works fine, and there’s a strap and hook to keep your goggles secure.Visually, the helmet looks quite sleek, I’d definitely recommend the all black option.Along with the helmet you also receive a storage bag. This is fine but the cord attached is not the pull-cord type where you can tighten the fit of the helmet inside the bag – definitely a poor oversight in my opinion.There is one notable detail missing from the setup and that’s MIPS, the advanced protection that’s found in the more expensive helmets. Personally, that’s a deal breaker for me as I’d prefer to spend whatever it requires to get the very best head protection. However, this helmet is still a great buy and will provide essential protection, just not the very best money can buy.

I highly recommend this, it fits I would say it fits the most head sizes however best is if you check the size before you buy.It is very light and once you put it on you can barely feel it.The strap is adjustable and also so are the soft inside pads which provide a nice fit without feeling any head pressure whilst being secured to your head.The head strap and the shape of the helmet are smartly done so it fits most goggles.I can say for sure of how much trauma it can take without bashing it.All in all a good purchase.

Straight out of the packaging this skiing helmet feels strong and sturdy, so I feel like it would do the job if ever called upon.I find that it's comfortable enough to wear but as with most helmets, the longer you wear it, the more uncomfortable it becomes.It has an adjustable chin strap, which gives a decent amount of expansion and is quick to release when needed with just one hand free.All in all, it's a sturdy skiing helmet.

It's good ski helmet at a very good price. The carry bag is handy and the ear-warmers click in and out no problem at all. There is a good elasticated google clip at the back, a very nice under-chin fastening with padding, and the ear-warmers work fine. There are a good number of top air vents and an effective closing system, easily accessible, to shut off the ventilation.Regarding fit, I personally have a particularly narrow but long head (unlucky for me, lol), and this helmet is relatively round. Because of this I find that because of my narrow head there is some side-to-side wobble with the helmet, even though the rear tightening wheel has created a close fit around my head. I therefore think this helmet is best suited to those with normal shaped heads rather than longer/thinner heads.Looks-wise it's very nice indeed, and in the modern style with a wider cut back around the face to accommodate larger goggles. No quality issues whatsoever - it's a very nice helmet and 4* only because it's not quite a perfect fit for my particular head type.

As a novice skier I had plenty of spills and chills. The helmet protected my head during one of my (many) falls. I am thankful that I invested in this layer of protection.

Comfortable and adjustable. Fits my 10yo and my own adult head. Keeps head warm on cold northeast snow days.

Fortunately, I cannot attest to its safety, as I've yet to actually need this helmet. But it's comfortable enough to wear all day, so I'll wear it, and the blue one that I got is really nice-looking.The helmet adjusts enough that as long as you order one close to your size, you'll surely be able to get it fitting properly in no time. And you can share, just like a rental.
