Pictures come in crystal clear, having 4 tuners is great, works awesome with Plex, saving almost $850/yr after ditching cable!
I decided to finally ditch cable last week after getting a higher Comcast bill for cable, which also included a flyer stating that rates would be increasing even more after this bill, and realizing that no one in my family has really watched anything off the cable tv in 2 years. It took a few days of research on how to cut the cord, but I ended up trying this out specifically for the 4-tuner capability. It would let us record several shows at once if needed and still watch live TV, in theory. In short, it has worked great so far! I can get all 4 tuners on different channels working simultaneously. I purchased a Plex Pass subscription to manage recordings, and although it's not as comprehensive as the Tivo's interface (at least not yet - Plex TV seems like it's pretty new and they're working on improving the Plex apps on various platforms), it's enough to suit our needs. I can watch recorded shows anywhere and can currently schedule them via a web browser from any device or directly from within the iOS Plex app. I can watch live TV from my antenna from any device via Plex (Roku, PC, iPhone, iPod, iPad), which is awesome. Wwell, except from the Samsung Smart TV Plex app, but I hear they're working on upgrading it to support it. I never played with the recording software that came with it, went straight to Plex Pass since we already had Plex running on our home network. It looks ok in the absence of anything else, I guess, but I'm betting you'll be better off with Plex or some other media center software that knows how to use this tuner. The only thing I don't really care for is that Plex and this tuner are running off my main computer in the office rather than a dedicated server that's running all the time, but that's not this product's fault. It works great for the channels I receive via my antenna, which is an indoor Mohu Ultimate that I grabbed from Walmart. I live about 15-20 miles from the main towers in a large city. This flat antenna is mounted on a wall in my office above my computer pointed in the direction of the towers, and I get most of the channels, crystal clear, through this tuner.I'm not picking up two channels, NBC and CBS, very well, but I've figured out that's because these two broadcasts are being done in VHF-Hi bands rather than UHF bands, so again, not this tuner's fault. I just need to figure out what mods to make to my antenna setup in order to receive those stations specifically.Bottom line - you want a digital TV tuner with multiple tuners? This one works great! And after cancelling my cable TV services as well as my annual Tivo service subscription, I'm now saving almost $850 per year which I can put towards something that I'll actually use.

Working great with Windows DLNA Media Server and Roku Media Player
I have a PC that is ON 24/7 with a security camera system so it was convenient to add this tuner card to this PC. I like that you can record multiple shows at the same time.I like that the recordings are a standard PC file format and can be backed up to other hard drives. The receiver sensitivity seems quite good.I like the file naming convention that captures the program name from the TV Guide. It makes it easy to find the recorded show.I enabled the built-in Windows 11 DLNA Media Server on the PC, and I'm able to watch the recorded shows on any of my smart televisions using the ROKU MEDIA PLAYER app (or by using a ROKU ULTRA attached to the television).

Program upgraded, tuner so-so
The WinTV has been upgraded with new features and works well for scheduling. However, this tuner does not perform as well as previous WinTV tuners with my antenna system, which previously worked well. Not sure why this tuner says "poor signal" on stations that should be strong, and were before. Also in my experience the WinTV tuners only last a few years before they fail.

Solid WinTV Product
I've used quite a few WinTV products over the years. This card is solid like most of their other products. I use this card in a 9 year-old PC running Windows 10 Pro, 8GB RAM and some Intel Core 2 Quad core processor. I don't use the included WinTV software, though. I use PLEX instead, which turns this old PC into a video server that feeds our TV's with Roku devices, tablets and computers. The included WinTV is okay. But, I don't use it. However, this card, like other WinTV products has lots of third-party and LINUX support available. If you use PLEX instead of the included WinTV software, don't install the included WinTV software. Instead, download the plain Windows drivers for this card from their website. Then, install PLEX, afterwards. Plex will find the card. However, it will be listed as 2 devices, each with 2 tuners. That's no problem. All 4 tuners work as they should.Even though my computer is very old, it works fine with PLEX. We'll have 2 tuners streaming to 2 Roku devices. A 3rd tuner recording something onto the hard drive. No issues. It just works. Not sure if this is more of a review of the WinTV QuadHD card or for PLEX. All I can say is that both work very well, together. My machine is very old. I guess. the processing is done on the card rather than software. And, that's why it works as well as it does.If you're looking to save money by cutting the cord, this card along with WinTV or Plex and a decent antenna will help.I highly recommend.

4 tuners in 1 and they all still work 3 years later
Hauppauge makes a great quad tuner. This one replaced a single Hauppauge tuner and pulls in signals better than the single Q950 did.

Why is this even listed on Amazon.com.au when it will not work in Australia?
I understand that this is a global product but it should not apear on Amazon Australia if it does not support the DVB-TS transmission. I thought the 1609 model supports DVB-TS but apparently not.

Easy Linux set-up with Kaffeine TV
I used this in a Acer Nitro 50 PC with a Asus GeForce GT 710 single slot video card (removing the better 1050 video card covering the only spare PCI slot) and I added an external Xonar U7 USB surround sound box. Use w_scan to prove the Hauppage tuner is working. I tried mythTV and had some trouble guessing the settings for ATSC, and also had to get mySQL configured and I got stuck scanning for channels; nothing showed. So I switched to Kaffeine TV and had easy immediate success. Kaffeine can instantly record and let you switch to view another station without thinking about which of the four tuners are active. I am very happy with the reception also, since I have a comparison to an old Bell 9242 pvr, which worked well with an antenna until Bell disabled the pvr's smart card recently.
