CRF SS Shank (Straight Stitch) Clarity Ruler Foot for Free Motion Quilting

This ruler foot is okay. I love the fact that it is clear, but it was hard for me to find the perfect tension, so I went back to my regular free motion foot. I can still use the rulers with my regular foot, but not as well. I think if I set it a bit lower than recommended it will work, but haven't found anything other than a quilting ruler to set it with. One of the videos I watched on how to set it up showed the man using a round doughnut-like spacer to set the height so I used a quilting ruler. I know I will love it once this problem is solved.

I bought this for a Juki TL210Q and the CRF SS foot fits perfectly. I did have to use the spacer to center the needed. Can't wait to try it out.I've now used this a few times now, and I find it difficult. I'm new to fmq, and I find the distortion caused by the acrylic distracting, and I'm more likely to get off line with this foot, then when using my regular foot - a more experienced quilter may not have this issue.
