I love these, since I have guests at my house who like to go through my personal belongings I installed it on my closet door so when I’m not at home I will know who goes in my closet

Luckily, I already have a few other Tuya akin devices like a video camera and doorbell, so installing this and pairing it to my phone was a breeze. If you can get it to pair up with Tuya then Alexa can also voice control it if that is your thing and it is mine. Once you have that setup with Alexa, the world is your oyster. You can set up timers, customize alerts, basically whatever you can imagine. Don't need a hub, no need for a subscription, whats not to like?8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful.

I use this on my freezer door. I have a very ADHD teen that doesn’t always pay attention and has left the freezer door open twice costing me hundreds in lost food each time. Now I can check the status anytime and have Alexa wait 5 minutes after the door opens to send me a notification, if the door closes before then then the notification is canceled.

I can honestly say I am disappointed in this product. I was very happy to try and make it work because I needed it. However, after giving it with a few days try I realized that this product does not work as advertised or this is one of that small percentage of items that are not well put together. This item would not alert me when a door/Window became open nor when it was closed at the time of the actual opening or closing. It would actually take between two and five, or even after 10 minutes to send me both notifications of when the doors or windows were open and closed. It would notify me a both at the same time, therefore, if a child went through a door I would not have an idea until it was too late. These items didn’t work properly.

These Tuya smart window and door alarms are very easy to use, and I love the concept. I'm much rather have my phone blowing me up telling me somebody's open a door or window or whatever I have attached these too, then some silly ear piercing alarm. I have found these days nobody seems to pay attention to car alarms or chimes going off in a neighbors home beyond the point that you hear annoying a sound for a few minutes before it shut off assuming that the person that owns the house or the car accidentally set off the alarm and has finally shut the noise off.I much rather have a device like these where if somebody entered my home through my doorway or window it would alert me on my phone and I would know right away that way I could call a neighbor to check on my house, or phone the police, or go check out it out my self, or see what's happening on my security cameras that may have not caught an intruder.They are so simple install all I need it from the instructions was the barcode to scan for the app (to make sure I got the true app for the device). Outside the app I just need a couple batteries for each one of the sensors, four batteries in total as my pack came with two sensors. Once I got the app installed (which walks you through the setup) I attached one of the alarms to my door and one to a for testing.They work great, my phone was immediately alerted to the app at the door in the window I was testing devices on had been open when I opened them.

This only works sometimes... It does work well with alexa but my biggest complaint is that its easily just switched off by My teenager and it doesn't alert me that it's been turned off so he sneaks right out making these pointless. The app should alert you if someone disarms the sensor. My teenager can very easily turn these off and sneak out and the app doesn't alert me when they've been disarmed at the sensor. If you're buying these for sneaking kiddos, don't bother, go for motion sensors instead. Motion sensors will go off the minute they get near it so no worrying about kids sneaking out.

Very simple to setup and install. A plus that work in conjunction with Tuya app. Great product and worth the small investment for safety.

Note that if you would like to be notified via text or email, you must purchase those options, they are not included in the cost of this device. Sensor does appear to alarm on phone with app installed, it worked for me when tested with the app in background on phone. Worked when I was connected to the same WiFi networks, also worked when I disconnected WiFi and only used cell network. So, it appears that this sensor does what it advertises.Requires two AAA batteries, batteries not included in package. I was unable to read most of the printed instructions, the text is far too small and I don't have a magnifying glass on hand. I was able to get it set up anyway. The instructions I could read did help, but there are minor errors in the instructions, such as where it says to look for "Security and Sensor" in the list to add the "Door Sensor" alarm. Well, on my freshly installed TUYA app the closest was "Sensors" and "Contact Sensor." Pretty easy to figure out but still incorrect or outdated printed instructions. Sensor was easy to add without following the printed instructions. In fact, after adding the sensor and then reviewing the printed instructions, the printed instructions are incorrect. Just tap Add Device in TUYA app and follow on screen instructions and you should be ready to go.If I find issues, or good things about these sensors I will update this review.
