Our home loves straws and I want to keep reusable straws on hand to be more environmentally friendly. I have a few various sizes in stainless steel, which I love because it doesn't stain - but the drawback is that you can not see through them to make sure they are good and clean.These straws are translucent and reusable. Although they are made for a specific item, they are perfect to be used simply as a reusable kitchen straw, too. Since they are translucent, you can tell how clean they are on the inside! I LOVE THAT.Alternative use/life hack?I did sacrifice one to use as a cord protector because my feline companion has decided that he wants to chew the power cord on my laptop. Now he can't and he's lost interest! This was a perfect solution. Because these straws are fairly rigid, I was able to cut a slit down one side so that I could tuck the cord inside to be protected and the straw went back to its original shape. Kitty is safe. Laptop is safe. Perfect.

Basically I think these are okay, but not the best reusable straws and the straw covers need some size adjustments so they and their leash don't slip off the straw quite so easily. The straws are okay, though plastic straws are not my favorite. I was hoping these would be a help with keeping my drinks covered, but I found that the straw covers are big and slip off quite easily. Be careful to read the sizing - they are not for tall tumblers.

I'm not sure this will be long enough for a 40 oz Hydro Flask. I don't have one of those, but the product page for that makes it seem that the Hydro Flask is about 12 inches tall, and these straws are not quite 9 inches long. (I double checked that I got the ones labeled "40 oz".)That said, I got these for a slightly different type of tumbler, and while they are shorter than I thought they would be, they kinda fit.The caps fit fine, if a little loose on the straws. I just wanted them to keep kitties from chewing on my straws. The pipe cleaners are actually a little too thin for these and aren't long enough. You can clean from both ends, so the length is not a big problem. I usually drink just water and run the straws through the dishwasher, so the cleaner size doesn't matter as much to me. I had them in the dishwasher with the silverware on the bottom level, and they didn't melt.This is $10 today for 6 straws, 3 caps, and 2 cleaners. If these were a bit longer, I would have given them 5 stars. I don't think they are long enough for what they are made for, so before buying, please measure your mug.

We don't own a Hydro Flask, but rather picked up these straws for other tumblers whose straws were getting less-than-fresh. They were a little long for our purpose, so we just trimmed to fit with some fabric shears and they fit perfectly with no burrs on the cut plastic. The diameter was exactly the right fit, which leads me to think that the straw diameters are universal and they are mostly cut to length. It's also great have a couple extra straw cleaning brushes on hand! These could very easily end up in my Subscribe & Save in the near future!

These straws and cleaning brushes work as described. The straws fit snugly into the rubber component of the hydroflask. The brush fits inside the straws easily. This is a great set.

These are not for my 40 oz maybe it is for the hydro flask but they seemed so small maybe it would fit a 15 oz. But I do not have a hydroflask so it did not fit my cup. I gave them to my boys for their cups and they are holding up pretty well.
