This is a superb dash camera. I’ve been using it for approximately 3 months and the camera performs great. The cameras default language is set to Korean so the English configuration files will have to be downloaded from the LUKAS website before using the camera. The play-back/viewer software can be downloaded at the LUKAS website as well.During playback the high quality of the HD sensor is apparent; the camera records clear videos with very little static. Even at night the video quality is excellent. The rear camera also records good videos, but at night and in low-light conditions the rear cameras video quality is moderately degraded.My camera is hardwired to my car’s battery. This option has worked well for me over using the cigarette lighter power cable (not included). As far as size goes, the camera is slightly smaller than an ipone-5 and is fairly low profile when mounted to the windshield.There are a few minor issues with this camera that I have experienced. First, the occasional “recording failure” message. Not really sure what causes the recoding to fail. I think it might be an issue with the SD card. After the error occurs the camera will usually restart itself then resume recording.Second, the camera operates at a very high temperature. The unit is hot to the touch after 40 minutes of continuous use. Even with the A/C running on overcast days when the outside air temperature was between 75-85 degrees, the camera heats up very quickly. I can’t imagine using this camera for an extended period of time in temperatures +90 degrees. The camera does have a built-in auto shut-off feature if it starts to overheat.

Product performs as expected for few months, Then recording problems keep recurring. Absolutely no product support from company.Extremely poor Lukas web page, most of the firmware links are not working.Buy it only for short term use. Do not expect any help.

Got this 3 month ago. So far works fantastic. It's on my car and recording 24 hours. Only I wish that lukas Front camera base unit was smaller. It's look like photo camera on my window and I don't want end up with broken window.

I bought my Lukas 9700 13 months ago, but only installed it in October 2015 because I decided to put it in my new car. After 3 months and having it professionally install it died I have read many now that say this is a common crib death problem. I love the unit and for the price it should last more than 3 months.

I've used a number of dash cameras. The feature-set and image quality of this two camera system is amazing, as is the user interface. It took me a week of playing with the camera and reading the userguide to grasp all the features and to figure out how to do firmware upgrades, then reload my personal settings from a saved config file.If this unit had WiFi for data off-load, I'd give it 6 stars!

It had so much potential but after a year of owning one, I've had to buy 3 extra power cords all of which have failed and now the main LK-9700 unit has just stopped working for no apparent reason. Do not pay the ridiculous cost from enthusiasm when it won't work within a year!!!

I originally ordered this camera on June 10 and it worked fine until recently - camera does reboots every few minutes and display Error 31A message and camera do not actually record anything. So sad as it been working just fine :( for 4 month :((((
