MK540 Wireless Keyboard and Full-size mouse
I was extremely worried, first keyboard would wobble badly, I tried flat, short risers and finally tall riser (a great feature) but still it wobbled. Returned and ordered same thing. Glad I did! Fantastic feel of the keyboard keys and the full mouse is wonderful to use. Definitely a great value for the cost.

Great keyboard
The Logitech MK540 combo is excellent for everyday use. The keyboard is full-sized and comfortable to type on, with quiet, responsive keys. The mouse is simple but works well, and both have impressive battery life. Setup is easy with wireless receiver and the build feels solid. Perfect for a home or office productivity.

Old Reliable - time for a refresh
Rapid (very rapid) delivery of a good quality keyboard and mouse. I replaced my prior keyboard with this identical keyboard and mouse combination. I use the keyboard and mouse a LOT... constant use every day. After about two years of use, the mouse left-click button starts to fail (creating double clicks when I just click once) and labels on the keys of the keyboard (especially the A and S keys) start to rub off. So, I just order a new keyboard/mouse. Replacing the old keyboard/mouse is very easily done. Just use the Logitech software to remove the old devices and install the new. Process takes under 5 minutes.

It works, BUT
It basically works. Three things I don't like: keyboard lacks tactile feel I prefer, also no num lock light. For the mouse click sometimes not detected and sometimes quite the opposite, when I select sleep the mouse sometimes seems to immediately send a movement wake up, and I have to do it again being extra careful that there is no movement, never happened with my previous Logitech mouse.

Massively Disappointed
New comment added 08/05/2025: Sad to say, the mouse has been faulty for a month. (1) Trying to land mouse pointer on links: it skips over links like magnets of the same polarity; getting the mouse pointer to land on a link takes a lot of time and more patience than I usually have. (2) It's amazing and truly frustrating how many times (2, 3, 4, 5) it takes to click on a link before a click finally (!) works. (3) The four pads (or feet) on the bottom of the mouse that make contact with a mouse pad (or whatever) should have set to the very edges of the bottom of the mouse. The problem: the mouse is so lightweight, it's common that only two of the four contact pads make contact with the mouse pad; the mouse tips onto two contact points so routinely that you have to concentrate on the mouse (rather than on your work) to get all four of the contact pads to make contact with the mouse pad -- or the left-click button of the mouse has to chance at working. Purchased a Logitech MK545 Advanced Wireless Keyboard And Mouse Combo in March of 2020 and loved it immediately. It's features and functionality were excellent. The keyboard had some weight to it and did not feel cheap or breakable like a child's toy. The mouse was particularly welcome because it was full-size, had agreeable heft to it, and wasn't liable to skitter away from you if you breathed on it. Tried to reorder the MK545 pair but it's been listed as unavailable for months. So, I ordered the Logitech MK540 Advanced Wireless Keyboard And Mouse Combo For Windows, 2.4 GHz Unifying USB-Receiver, Multimedia Hotkeys, 3-Year Battery Life, For PC And Laptop because the dimensions and appearance were identical to the MK545. Received the MK540 set today and I'm very disappointed. The MK540 pair are flimsy lightweight toys compared to the MK545 pair. And the MK540 mouse is much shorter than the MK545; it isn't full-size at all. I wrote a highly complimentary letter to Logitech in April of 2020, saying how pleased I was with the MK545 combo. They won't be receiving the same glowing compliments about the MK540 combo.

Good product.
Great keyboard for the price. Wife scoffed when I spent a little extra, but she admitted its way nicer than our old one

Have bought this Logitech for several laptops
Have bought this Logitech for several laptops. Batteries last a long time and comes with Nano receiver. Nice on / off switch when out of town so battery doesn't wear down.

Not black
So far so good, but itโs not black. The pictures make it seem like it is. Not a big deal. Itโs more of a dark gray.

Great entry level combo.
The Logitech MK540 is a great entry-level wireless keyboard and mouse combo. Setup was simple, the connection is reliable, and both the keyboard and mouse are comfortable to use for everyday tasks. For the price, it offers excellent value and dependable performance for home or office use.

Never bored with this keyboard
Always buy this to replace the beige crap pried off an Apple II that I normally get at the office. Mouse is sized for a normal adult hand, and goes both ways.(Apologies to any North American government obsessed with rolling back human rights). If you are the type (see what i did there?) who still double space after a period this is a good solid option.

One if the keyboards you might consider buying
Am quite happy with it. Wireless is the way to go.

Very good keyboard with one slight deformaty
The keyboard is great. Very versatile and easy to use. The only drawback is that the keyboard is heavier on the left-hand. It is heavier on the right side due to the numerical keys present. When you're using it, it tends to slide easily upwards on the left than on the right and the keyboard is then crooked or if you hit it slightly it takes off on the left side.

I simply like this new upgrade! inexpensive yet feels luxuries!
Switched from my old trusty Logitech K330 to this new MK540 and i must say I want to type day in day out! I am contractor, quite a bit of emails, estimates, takeoffs from blueprints and such and it got everything you need. A lot of customizable function buttons that is more then I think I could ahve a use of. The keyboards are ultra comfortable, silent and gentle. The wrist rest is there, does something but not medical grade.
