Sabertooth Dual 25A Motor Driver

Very happy with this purchase. I have it running on 24V and pushing 2 wheel chair motors. Have not hooked it up to an Arduino yet but will do so soon. I have it set up on tank style steering and could not be happier with the way it drives the motors. Very precise control and PWM speed control, even at the slowest speed it works great. I have it hooked up to an RC receiver and was worried that the motor controller would take input and go out of control if I shut down power on the transmitter, not the case. If you don't have any power to the inputs, it just sits there like it is off. Very good job Dimension Engineering!!!

Directions are simple and to the point. Very easy to follow. Toggle switches are sturdy and easily identified and switched. Hook-up connections are easy to connect and disconnect. Product currently running on 24v, at 10 running amps; with a 15 amp spike. Hasn't given any trouble and hasn't gotten hot. Great product will buy again. You get what you pay for. Fair price for a sturdy product.

It works as described. Setting up is cinch. However, BE VERY careful when connecting the power wires .... Make sure red (Positive) wire goes to + and Black (negative) wire goes to -. If you mix them up, you will definitely KILL the SABERTOOTH.Although it works, I have noticed that if your remote control is not trimmed to account for any slight difference in power going to the motor your motors are liable to go haywire on COLD STARTUP. In fact, the motors became so uncontrollable that it went in circle real fast. I had to risk everything to jump in to pull the battery cable to stop it.Other than that it works.

This product is a fantastic unit powerful and well worth the money! I am using it to control 2 24v wheelchair motors and it preforms beautify under load it barely gets warm! I Control it with a Arduino and a Bluetooth dongle using my smart phone for the controller it is truly a very versatile motor controller. And with the different serial platforms I can use my computer and Visual Studio to control it as well!

The media could not be loaded. I bought one of these I hooked it up and before I even hooked up the receiver to it.. as soon as I put power to it the right wheel started turning . and it should have done absolutely nothing. I contacted the company and they claimed that they do not sell bad motor drivers. but Amazon sent me a label to mail it back . I mailed it back to them and I have not heard from them yet. as how we are going to resolve this matter I am hoping they will just send me another one as I need the motor driver . but they're claiming that they don't sell bad ones, and they wanted me to tell them what was wrong ... so I offered to send them a video , they refused .. they did not want to see a video I sent them picture of the wiring . On how I had it wired and told them how it was wired .they still did not want to see that , that was not good enough for them. so as of yet I do not know whether I'm going to receive a new one or whether they're going to send that one back to me. and I just have to deal with it or if they're going to return my money .... this company is kind of hard to understand as to what they want from me. I've explained everything to them they still are acting as if it's not their fault. they said Amazon sold it to me not them, so deal with Amazon ... I thought that was a bit rude , I'm hoping they will send me a new motor driver. but I have a funny feeling they're going to send the same one back or send me my money back. and then I'm screwed because all this time I'm waiting on a new motor driver ... one that actually works , I guess we'll see what happens in the weeks to come but this is sure taking a long time . so if you order something from them you better hope it works . because if it doesn't it's going to be months before you find out how the situation is going to be resolved . I don't think that's a good way to run the company . but will let you know what happens in the future if anything I hope I don't get ripped off for my $120 one way or the other. I'm going to lose if I don't get a good motor driver, because that's what I need... I ordered another one from another company and I've already received it , but I don't like it it works ,and there's nothing wrong with it .....but I really wanted the other one, and I'm hoping they'll send me a good one either way I'll let you guys know what happens hope it happens this year sometime ... but maybe it'll be in 2021 as of yet I do not know....

Mine got super hot and now won't drive motors. This is day 2. I thought it had thermal protection?Can't return cause I let it sit un-opened for a while.

Great product. Came on time. Very well made and does what it should. I made a 60" r/c Mower using this and I have to say! I have had no problem with this. Just make sure you connect your +&- correct you will bse good to go! Reason for the 4 star rating is. Because it's no longer available. I would love to buy more!!! Please bring these back. Or guide me to where I can get these. For same good price???
