I purchased these because my prescription sunglasses aren’t dark enough. They help, but they are easily scratched on the inside by my eyelashes.

Got a pair of these from Dr. after cataract surgery and babied them for several months because I liked them so much better than sunglasses which, because of uneven ears, never seemed to fit comfortably. When I found I could have buy them myself, decided I'd never be caught without them again and this purchase fills that bill - I have them at home, in the car, at Second Daughter's house, at my sister's and probably other places that I can't remember right now.

I first got these at my eye doctor's office after getting my eyes dilated. I have glaucoma and Fuchs dystrophy and often it’s too bright for me even with good sunglasses on. So I keep these handy for those times because I can wear my sunglasses over them. Wish I knew not wearing sunglasses was a cause of glaucoma when I was a young sun worshiper.

these are what the eye doctors and ophthalmologists give patients after dilating your eyes; then you have to drive home, so these darken to get you home in one piece. I use them for glare issues, especially when you get that 4 or 5 o'clock Spring sunsets and you're either in traffic or driving directly into the setting sun; sometimes, it all but causes blindness for a second or two, which is quite scary. The curled up plastic lenses make driving stess-free, with most all glare eliminated. A bit pricy, but worth the safety they help with. I curl on around the automatic transmission stick, so it never gets lost. I put them under my glasses..and off I go. before starting my car

Work OK over glasses, but I wouldn't want to wear them for more than a few minutes, not comfortable at all.
