Working but with some difficulty
I was finally able to get it to connect but it seems that it uses something that doesn't allow it to connect to all types of routers. I tried two wifi routers on my network that both have 2.4Ghz Wifi connections and it would not connect to either. I have a cheap repeater that I use to connect my wired network generator to my wifi network (don't have to run cables to it) that I was finally able to connect it to. If not for my repeater I am afraid I would have had to return the controller and wifi device. It shouldn't be this difficult. But with this difficulty aside, the device / app is bulletproof, it works great!

Could not connect in Local mode.Cloud mode is security risk. Instructions unintelligable.
Has two modes,Local and cloud. Cloud mode is a major security risk as it could expose your entire phone to a Chinese server. Was unable to connect in LOCAL mode. Instructions for both hardware and software are unintelligible. Looks like English but words don't make sense. I am very computer savy and also engaged the help of an expert. We could not make it work. Hardware appeared to work as expected. Software did not match the instruction sheet.This is just a bad product. Others have in Amazon feedback have expressed the same frustration.

unable to get it to work
Do not buy this, it or the inverter it is designed to work with. In over a month, it established a connection but did nothing but collect information from my photos. 99 percent of the time it times out to connect, and when you do it will not set up the information to monitor the inverter. My inverter is Ampinvt 5000W Off Grid Solar Inverter 48Vdc to 120V, Pure Sine Wave Inverter inbuilt 100A MPPT Solar Charge Controller Max PV Input 5500W

it just won't connect....i finally got it connected
ive tried many attempts to get this thing to sign on and it never connects. i give up. update...i was in contact with support...it didn't go very well. i feel like i knew more then support. big waste of time. they want me to take videos of my phone. update...i went from 1 star to 3 stars. this thing took forever to connect...i literally spent about 3 hrs trying to get it connected today. changed router passwords, guest account finally got it connected. the company did send me a new unit after having problems with the first one.

Works well, Tricky to establish communication
Works well, but make sure you're on a 2.4 GHz network and follow directions. Your phone must be connected to a 2.4 GHz network you plan to use when you use the app to establish communication. I have a Gggole Nest router with no seperate names for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and couldn't get it to connect. I added a small range extender, configured a 2.4 GHz band with unique SSID name, connected my phone to this SSID, then connected to the adapter through the app with no issues. I am now able to monitor and configure my Ampinvt 60 amp chagre controller remotely.
