Despite living in Las Vegas I bought this stool from England because 6 months ago Frosta's were not being imported into the USA. But as my IKEA Alvaar Alto chair didn't look happy without its matching table I willingly paid a high price to import one. And was naturally chagrined when IKEA changed its mind and not only imported Frosas but sold them for the incredibly low price of $15.The good news (for England) is the version sold over there has an infinitely better finish. And is a perfect match for the Aalto chair with a lacquer finish making it gleam like real wood (not laminated) whereas the one I bought in Las Vegas is virtually raw white laminated wood with no shine and no tactile qualities. The explanation for this drop in quality is fairly obvious. The British table was made in Lithuania and the USA one was made in China! QED

We have been searching for ages for a couple of side tables/stools for our caravan holiday home and we know that these stools/side tables are good as we have them in our holiday home in Cyprus but IKEA is to much of a pain to get to in England, so it was great that you could get them from Amazon

These are really useful. They are easy to put together. They can be used as stools or side tables and stack tidily away when not needed. They are surprisingly sturdy - able to seat heavyweights without trembling. They are also surprisingly unobtrusive, fitting in with most decors.

We particularly like Ikea products, and have a number of these stools dotted around our home, usually in use as occasional tables. I find them very useful next to seating, for placing drinks on, tissues, books, etc. We have had one or two for around 6 years, and have used them in a variety of circumstances, for instance as tables, or as stools for desks. The varnish shows some fading, but structurally there are no signs of wear. They are easy to clean, and easy to store.Whilst it is certainly cheaper to buy the stools direct from Ikea, I like to factor in time and travelling expenses. We are a 60 mile round trip from our local store, so wouldn’t really save anything by purchasing from Ikea (when fuel costs are factored in), unless we happened to be passing.

I wanted this as an extra seat in my very small study (it acts as an occasional table too when the desk top overflows). It fits under the desk beautifully when not in use and ticks all the boxes.

Easy to ensemble and good high for a stool solid and sturdy
