Very Disappointing, spoilt rice (Meal Delight Chickpea Curry & Basmati Rice)
Prepared as directed: corners cut on the pouches and microwaved for 90 seconds. These kind of kits generally feature fairly dry rice. Not this one. The rice was already surprisingly wet in the pouch (and curiously amber) before heating but once heated had broken down to a blob of gelatinous mush with a load of excess liquid. I drained the liquid prior to serving. The rice tasted sweet and fruity (apple?) and devoid of any rice texture. In the interest of science I continued to prepare this meal but in retrospect that was a mistake...The chickpea curry itself is very good. Chickpeas are nicely firm, well seasoned and has a little heat. While the box claims two servings, I would rate this as less than a single serving. Each box contains curry and rice pouches, a black plastic 'serving' tray and wood/bamboo utensils and paper napkin. The pouches have a gusset on the bottom so they stand upright in the microwave.Best before date of package received is 18 months out.Checking the other boxes in the 6 pack, the rice packs look normal but carry the same lot number so I won't be eating those.Product of India

Easy and convenient way to a hot lunch
These meal packets are easy to prepare and contain two pouches- one with rice and one with lentil/bean curry. You can heat them in the microwave or on the stove. The sets come with a plastic dish and a set of disposable utensils/napkin, so you don't need to worry about packing those items separately. The box states that there are two servings but I would say that it's best for one unless you're planning to eat this with some other dishes. I thought that the proportion of rice to curry was a little high. You get enough sauce to moisten the rice but would have preferred more, plus more lentils in the sauce. The taste of the dish is good but quite mild, so if you like spice, this may taste bland. It's good and hot, though, and would be appreciated as a lunch on a busy workday. It's convenient that it comes with its own serving accessories. Overall, I would say it is good mainly for its convenience, and the taste is good but did not blow me away.
