I'm a 6'4" 300lb guy. I fit.
Finding good kit that fits me (since I'm such a big guy) can be hard to do. Luckily, the folks at Snugpak appreciate that and make this delightfully nice sized bag to fit large or small folks. If you're large (like me): Make sure to use the 2nd set of zippers to open the side baffle up. This was a cool feature that isn't obvious from many reviews. It works like a charm. If you're small: You can keep the side baffle closed down and have extra insulation. You can also use the clips by the foot area to 'fold' (and secure) the bag so it's smaller -- and keeps its insulation more snugly against you. Genius! It's lightweight, well constructed, easy to zip / unzip, and keeps me (somebody who doesn't like cold) nice and snug as a bug. I have combined this with a Snugpak Scorpion 3, a Klymit Insulated Static V luxe SL (because of the R rating), and some MeriWool base layer top and bottoms -- I was downright cozy in below freezing temperatures in Georgia.

Excellent 4 season bag for camping
Used in -15'c weather, if you have a good r-rated sleeping pad you will be warm. The hood draw cord and baffle system does a great job of keeping the heat in. Set it up and practice adjusting it at home and you will be fine in Winter. The extension baffle on the side to increase the sleeping bag width is a great feature. I keep the extension in place even in winter as i prefer the room and tend to move a lot when sleeping. the outer material is very high quality and wear resistant. I haven't tested it in outside wet weather (always inside a tent). This bag packs down reasonably well given that it's synthetic insulation. It would be perfect if it came with a larger mesh storage bag, not just the stuff sack. Pickup up something larger than the stuff sack to store it in so that the loft does not get compressed during storage.

You will not be disappointed!

Great mummy bag for the price.
Dont get me wrong there are better sleeping bags out there that will withstand colder temperatures but i took this bag with me on a camping trip to an island on the northern tip of lake superior (20 degrees with wind chill) and it kept me nice and warm with my wool base layer probably could get down below freezing with this bag if you add a bivvy or woll blanket and sleeping pad kind of bulky and heavy though so i wouldnt recommend to a person hiking for distance.. and the fit is about perfect Im 6' 1" and 235lbs and this bag runs kind of large for me which i like in mummy bags. That said for the price your kind of hard pressed to find a bag as useful and as quality in this price range.

Awesome bag!!!
I absolutely love this bag! Best bag I’ve owned and I’ve owned several- Army vet. If you’re looking for a warm and comparable alternative to down that’s light- I definitely recommend this. A good set of thermals, wool socks and this bag will have you set for 0 degree weather. Of course- everyone is different!!! You won’t go wrong with the bag.

Toasty bag built to last
I'm a former Marine that spent many years with a cold-weather two-bag Recon system which set the standard for me of warmth, comfort, weight and durability. This bag was designed to take a beating and is completely stuffed with Snugpak's proprietary fill that proves to be a real comfort. The hardware and construction can take a beating. This particular bag is best for cold weather given the -5 f rating---I state the obvious because it can be an oven in warmer weather (+50 f) . But, I used it as a comfortable blanket in warmer weather. It's a tad bulky, but I'm OK with that given the overall features shine through.

Very high quality product
I slept in 8°F with a wind chill of -12°F under a tarp. I put two hand warmers in the bag to warm it up. It was warm and toasty all night long. And perhaps a little too toasty. I am 6'3" and 230 pounds the bag is a little snug but very comfortable and warm.

Excellent sleeping bag
Good quality item. I've slept in this down to -5c and didn't feel cold at all. It's quite large even when compressed and the compression sack that come with it isnt great so I swapped it out for the Onetigris compression sack. The expansion panel bit is great and gives you plenty of room, especially if you're tubby like me.To sum up: if you don't mind the bulk and weight and want to stay warm in low temperatures with a roomy bag then this is ideal.

Snug for a Softie
I don't camp. I don't sleep on the hard surface of outside ground. I'm not the kind of person to buy this type of thing but I went on a Survival course in depths of a cold February...it seemed like a good idea at the time. After looking at reviews and prices I came up with this sleeping bag, partly because of it's adaptability for warmer weather. On my course, I was the only one who did not feel the cold at night so that says something about it. The density of the filling material cushions the ground well, although I still used a sleeping mat underneath. This dense material does have a down side though...it makes it a bit of a cram to get it into the stuff sack, but not a problem when you crack the method. It also means that it's quite heavy compared to what I previously knew as sleeping bags...however, less weight is bound to mean less warmth unless you get something with a down filling. It fills our washing machine but does wash well. If you have one of those rucksacks with a compartment at the bottom you may find this one will not fit. This is one of the best purchaces I've made for some time and I'd thouroughly recommend it. Be warm.

Sehr guter Schlafsack. Verarbeitung Top.
Ich finde den SnugPak Elite 5 gut. Warm. Gemütlich. Weich. Man bekommt ganz sicher keine kalten Füße.
