Far Cry 5 - PlayStation 4 Deluxe Edition

Pros:If you were a fan of Far Cry 4 then there's no reason you won't like the latest incarnation in the series. Not much has changed with the exception of adding NPC teammates that can help you in battle, revive you, and make life a bit easier. Eventually, you'll find yourself going solo as your companions repeat the same five or six lines of dialogue every minute or so and there's no way to turn off their dialogue without just muting the sound. Luckily, there are animal companions that don't talk. I use them quite a bit.You'll find yourself spending time capturing territories by taking over outposts (fun), completing missions (sometimes fun), and completing fetch quests (not always fun) which will increase the resistance in a territory leading to a confrontation with the region's boss. There are also hunting and fishing challenges, stunt runs, and everything else the Far Cry games have always offered.There's also Far Cry Arcade, a feature that I haven't used since I'm still mopping up the one or two side missions before tackling the new challenge. Clearly, the game makers want you to play it since so many NPCs will tell you how awesome it is during the solo campaign.My biggest complaint is the lack of variety in guns, vehicles, and unlockables. Unless your're a completionist, you'll most likely find the three guns that work best for your loadout and rarely switch between them. You can buy others but why bother? As soon as you pick up a gun from the ground it will be available from any seller at no cost. I was hoping there would be more.Still, a great way to kill a few days with great replay potential.

Awesome! There is A LOT in this game, and It can be kinda overwhelming. For those of you (like myself) who thought their game didn't come with the Doomsday Prepper pack, it DOES come with it! It's included in the code you get with the deluxe game. I couldn't find the guns etc from the packs Anywhere after I downloaded them. Come to find out they're located in your arsenal when you go to the stores! Idiot I am. I'm still trying to figure out this game and get a good grasp on it!. I miss the mini map so badly from previous Far Cry games, that showed you where stuff was. There's little to no leafs around (that you need for crafting syringes etc) and if you're not looking..they're EASILY missed. Also, having someone with you to help fight...is the coolest thing ever!. I've only played this game for about 2 hours so far....lots to learn and discover. All in all, I'm enjoying it :)

A modern day Red dead. if you need something to fill the void until 2 comes out this is a winner. I'm abut 25% through the main storyline and could not be happier. There is plenty of side objectives to keep you busy, load up with a friend, hunt, fish, side jobs to make extra dough. I highly recommend buying the suppressed .50 whitetail militia right off the go. wish I had. only gripe I have is there is s few places that have terrible collision detection, but hey most games do. the deluxe edition was worth the extra money, as having a car and other items help in the beginning. that being said I only paid 55$ for it through prime discount. if youre on the fence, don't be. I cant sit down without giving this game 3-4 hours minimum.

The game overall was phenominal. Far Cry 5 was an amazing game. But buying the deluxe edition used for an extra 10 bucks was a rip off because the code was already redeemed. I had to fight with amazon for an hour to send it back so I could get the regular game and buy the deluxe content on psn for 10 bucks.

Best Far Cry I've played in years. Can't wait for the DLC to release. Was skeptical of the whole in "America" thing but they pulled it off brilliantly. The story was kind of weak in some aspects, but found the boss fights more enjoyable then other entries. Found the end kind of disappointing hoping more will be explained in DLC later on.

This game is so bad ass! Granted, I just got through first 30 minutes... The graphics, the voice acting, the gameplay, the story... everything is absolutely amazing from the first scene. The graphics on PS4 Pro are on par if not better than Horizon Zero Dawn or Assassin’s Creed 5. I can’t really tell you much else 😂, I can just tell it’s going to awesome.

Very fun game, but me and my friend bought it especially for co op. The co op mode is not what we thought it would be. Only one player can save campaign progress, the other only saves character progress.

Definitely lives up to the other Far Cry games. Awesome gameplay and story so far. You can do micro transactions, but it is in no way necessary (unlike the lame Star Wars), so don’t worry. There are definitely some differences from the old far cry games, but overall, awesome game. If you like the previous games in the series, you will like this one.
