I love our cat, but having her sleep on our bed had become a problem. Especially on cold nights, she would sleep on my chest, my head, behind my knees, anywhere she could gain a few degrees of extra warmth and paralyze me in an uncomfortable position for fear of disturbing her. Yes, I know, I have issues. But back to the solution. She likes to be near us, so I needed a way to lure her into sleeping in her cat bed in the corner of our bedroom at night. The WRCIBO Heated Mat did the trick. I simply put it in her bed, and once it was warm, I laid her in there so she could feel the heat. For a couple of days she spent way more time than usual sleeping in her cat bed during the day, and and by about day 3 she was sleeping there through the night. Happy cat, happy us! Tip: we use the 35 Celsius/95 Fahrenheit setting since its winter and the house is cool. I will probably turn it down in the summer when the house is warmer. Definitely recommend and would buy again!

This pad really does get warm. I love the fact that you can turn the temperature up and down because I have one dog with long hair and one with short hair--both like different levels of heat. Be careful not to turn it up too high though. I have a blanket over the heating pad, even though the pad comes with a cover. The cover is thin, but in order to feel the heat, I think it needs to be. But that's also why I have a blanket over it.

UPDATE, 12/5/2017: downgrade of original 5-star review = had to pull pad from use due to strong mildewy smell of the plastic enclosing the heating element. We've carefully wiped the pad with a mild cleaner, we put the pad out in fresh air overnight, we stacked charcoal air fresher packets over the pad over 24 hours, all with no clearing of the moldy smell. We suspect this product was warehoused in a very damp environment. If you or your pet are put off by a "wet basement smell", this pad is not for you. We would send it back but pitched the original packaging on receipt. Stinky, stinky bummer.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought this pad to replace the pad in a just-purchased K&H heated cat bed, a pad that got too hot in one spot and way too warm overall. This pad is larger than came with the bed and is the perfect size we aimed for to be inserted into the zippered pocket of that K&H round bed. Just needed to release a couple of stitches to be able to slip the power control and control through toward the back of the bed and viola! Gentle heat that we can keep to a minimum or ramp up as the cold nights set in.

This will work ok for what we need as the (2 kittys) box we got it for is on a covered porch. We have a pillow in a covered "litter box" (no litter of course), then a blanket covering it. We put this inside, and they love it I don't think it would work on a deck-style (uncovered) porch. I had intended to tell a friend about this for her outdoor cat, but she needs real waterproof as she has a little pet house on a back deck.

So far, so good! MinPin seems to like it and hasn't chewed on the cord at all! Gets warm enough to feel it through her blanket that's inside her bed.

As described. Good for what they say it is. Read the description so that you won't be disappointed in how little 50° or 55° is.Their purpose is for INDOORS pets which they do VERY WELL! They do not seem sufficient for feral cats in the garage.

Bought one for our elderly barn cat. It is working so well we've purchased another for our younger barn cat too. Its soft and pliable fitting into the boxes of straw they like to snuggle in. I viewed many heating pads for animals and not all of them are soft. The cover is included too so no extra cost.It measures 11.5x15.5 appropriate for a cat or small dog.
