About the same size as an iPhone 4s, smaller than iPhone 5, this powerbank will power a dead iPhone for about a day. My iPhone battery went soft. Would die after half an hour. Now the indicator still shows 100% charge after about 20 hours use. Since it costs about $80 to get a new battery installed at the Apple Store, this external battery is much cheaper in the short-haul, but less convenient, than replacing the weak iPhone internal battery. Powerbank will recharge itself fully in 2-3 hours. When you plug it in, IF your device does not recognize the charger, just press the tiny button to wake up the charger and you should get a charging indicator on your device. Some external batteries will power your device and charge themselves at the same time, but this one will NOT pass any power thru to your device while it is charging itself. So, you cannot do a piggyback charge, it will not power your device while the GearHead PowerBank is also charging. This means you must disconnect your dead-battery device and plug it into another charging port if you need to recharge the powerbank. Small, sleek and powerful. It works very well. It charges my phone quickly, and has about 3 full charges in it. I travel for work and usually by the time I get on the plane my phone's almost dead. If no power is available at my seat. This little guy does the trick. My phone is charged in less than an hour.

I use this for hiking/camping to keep my phone charged. It is small, thin, and light. I can usually get two and a half full charges out of it on a trip for my phone without recharging it. It also holds on to a charge well. I originally used my friend's and she hadn't used it in months and it charged both of our phones without a problem!
