Victorinox Watchmaker 60 Swiss Army Pocket Knife, Medium, Multi Tool, 1 Functions, Locking Blade, Silver

I've had an Omega Constellation watch for a few years, and until now, brought it to my local Omega dealer in Belfast every few years when it needed a battery change. Apparently part of their service includes a reseal and pressure test, however since I'm not likely to have my watch be any more than a sinkfull under water, the increasing cost (about £60 last time I had it done) was beginning to seem excessive. I purchased the Victorinox pocket knife to remove the back, as others have mentioned, it's not a knife, and since it doesn't fold, it's not something you'd likely put in a pocket. What it does do rather impressively is remove press fit watch backs - I was quite nervous when I put the edge of the blade against my watch back, but the rounded blade edge means it doesn't dig in to the metal. Within about 30 seconds, I'd raised the back sufficiently to be able to lever it off with a fingernail. The required battery was obtained from a well known auction site for less than £2 (available from Amazon too, but with slower delivery) and a quick push to seal the back and job done. Now, having bought the required tool, future battery changes will be ever so slightly cheaper than the Omega dealer. can't complain about that :)

This is a good quality watch case opening tool. It is the right handed version (ie the bevelled edge of the blunt blade is on top as it is used). It is not a knife, it is not a pocket knife and it is not designed to be stored in a pocket (ie the "blade" does not fold into the handle). Something similar can be purchased for one or two pounds but they are less than useless.

Quality. Works very well. Sturdy and will last for a long time.

Bought this to remove dive watch bezels. Blade is good quality and strong but also thin enough to be inserted into the gap.

A million times better than my previous cheap chinese case knife. Removes bezels I previously thought were stuck fast.

Excellent qualityI Great service. Within 2hours it had paid for itself as it was used to fix my sons watch which had one of the hands come loose! Jeweller had quoted £20+ to fix. A great buy!

I'm sure this is a great product. However I bought it to use on two watches that required a new battery. Sadly the blade is too thick to get under the lip. I resorted to using my victorinox Alox pocket knife blade. Hopefully itll work on other watches. I'm sure it will at some point. Just not for what I needed it for.
