Great Fun For Younger Children
My Children are Monopoly mad and although they love any sort of board game, Monopoly is usually the first one that they ask to play as we have a few versions of Junior Monopoly including this one, the Finding Dory version and the My Little Pony version and they are all basically the same but with slightly different designs. We have had this game for a while now and I'll be honest that it is looking a bit tatty now as it has been played with so much. One thing I would recommend doing is having a few food or money bags to pop the character pieces, money, chance cards and tokens into in between games as it saves a lot of messing and sorting out the next time that you want to play as there isn't any sort of sorting area inside the box. This Junior version is very similar to the adult version but obviously a little simpler with some of the main differences being:-Less players as there are only 4 character tokens instead of the 8 the adult version hasSmaller money amounts (all bills are 1)Simpler rent (varies from 1 to 5 per property)Simpler purchases as instead of houses and hotels you have character tokensNo Stations or UtilitiesNo Community Chest or TaxOnly 16 properties instead of the 22 properties the adult version has (2 properties per colour)It's a lot faster to playIt's a lot friendlier to playThe Chance cards are quite niceThe game comes with 4 character figures to choose from; Little Hazel the cat, Little Scottie the dog, Toy Car and Toy Boat and each of these has 12 corresponding character sold signs (houses) which you place onto the property square when it is bought. There is still Go To Jail, Just Visiting (Jail), Free Parking, Chance Cards and the Go square where you collect money from the banker when you pass Go (2 Notes). There are 20 Chance cards but they are clearly aimed at speeding the game up and being friendly. The winner is decided when one player becomes bankrupt and if more than two players are left then the one with the most money wins and my children usually trounce us every time even without us cheating for them to win which I suspect may be one of the reasons why they love this game so much. This is a really fun game with nice simple twists to make it faster and suitable for younger players and both of my children have been playing this game even below the recommended age of 5 years old and they have played this quite easily with only a little bit of help and me or Daddy being the banker. I would hand on heart recommend this game to anyone considering it or even any of the versions which allow up to 4 players - just brilliant fun.

Great lessons in a game for children.
I bought it for my daughter(7) and son(3) and they both get it. They laugh when they have a pile of cash coming in and suck when they've got none. The game has been very cleverly simplified. The squares are made attractive to children, instead of street names or areas they have generic business activities like "Swimming Pool", "Sweet Shop" and "Bowling Alley". So the children learn to own businesses for income. I like the generic naming and although I haven't tried the others I think I would prefer that to a themed version like Disney Princesses or Minions etc which might distract from the lessons hidden inside. They moaned at me for having a stack of cash while I landed on "Just visiting jail", "Chance" and "Free Parking" etc but then saw the consequences of not having any money invested. In my case they are thought to hand over the money with gratitude "$2 dollars for a delicious pizza!. Thank you very much"It's played out very simply with a lot of the decision making removed. If you land on a free square you must buy it. The game is over when a person goes bankrupt and can't pay a bill. The player with the most money wins. The game lasts about 20 mins which works out to be perfect. The build quality of the board is good thick durable cardboard. The pieces are chunky and colourful.I can't think of any downsides to mention! An all round winner for anyone new to Monopoly.

Simple and Fun
Played this with a 7-year old and a 5-year old, both of whom loved it. It's very simple and easy to play. My one problem with it is the money - the actual paper feels like quite poor quality and they just want to stick together, made it hard to count out. Was also unhappy at being trounced by the 5-year old, but I guess I can't mark the game down for that...

A great version of the classic game - ideally tailored to younger children in every way - super duper game
What a fabulous family game - probably the favourite at the moment in our house and has been since Xmas. It's a great introduction to the world of Monopoly for children and our 6 and 5 year old boys got the idea and rules very very quickly and thoroughly enjoyed racing around the simplified board. It has all the usual elements (jail/chance cards/money etc.) but is just a much simpler and quicker variety of game. I enjoyed playing it too and have bought it for friends of our children as it's been such a hit for us as a family. An average game lasts around 20 mins so we end up usually playing two rounds but it keeps their enthuisasm and attention which is no mean feat for two young boys ! Also reinforces counting, taking turns and reading so all good from a parents perspective too.

Fantastic fun for all the family
Wow, this game really exceeded my expectations. It is an amazingly well simplified version of Monopoly that little ones can enjoy too hence great fun for all the family. It doesn't take too long to finish a game so holds attention until the end. Properties are fun locations like sweet shop and swimming pool etc. which kids can relate to. Money simplified too so they can work out values and rents easily. My 4 year old son absolutely loves this. It has been a huge hit with out family and I am sure will get lots of use!

Good fun - great for learning to count
Had a good couple of games so far with our 4 year old (soon to be 5).You need to assist young kids during the game, unless they are at the age whereby they can read the Chance cards by themselves. All the notes are in single units, so counting is easy (although you may have wished there were some 5, 10 and 20 notes too). It's pretty much a game of luck, this version.
