Caraway 6.5 qt Stainless Steel Dutch Oven Pot

I needed to replace my old ceramic Dutch Oven (purchased years ago at TJ Maxx) and decided to splurge on the Caraway Stainless Steel. So far I've made White Chicken Chili and also used it for boiling chicken and I'm glad I purchased this. PROS ⭐ • Non Toxic and Feels High Quality - my other Caraway pans are the gray color, which I also love, but those are already showing signs of wear on the finish (I do use the dishwasher for those the majority of the time to be fair). I think this will sustain it's look much longer compared to the colored finishes. • Lighter Weight - The first thing I noticed is how much lighter this is compared to my ceramic Dutch Oven. Without the lid it weights 4lbs 6.5oz and with the lid on it weighs 6 lbs 10.1 oz. I would say it feels about half the weight - which makes a huge difference when transferring from stove to sink, stove to oven, etc. •The lid has a small hole in it - This is on all of my Caraway pans and I love this to help steam vent or release any excess pressure. •Cooks evenly •Cleaning - both a pro and a con. The instructions indicate you can use the dishwasher but it may shorten the lifespan (see instructions for specific wording, I'm paraphrasing). After the chili, there was a solid thick layer of burned on chili (I intentionally didn't use any oil to really test this out). I let it soak overnight in water and dish soap and 90% came out on its own just by rinsing the following morning. With minimal effort I got nearly all the remaining off (less than 20 seconds of scrubbing with a paper towel because I had no sponge). While not perfect, this is considerably easier clean up than any Dutch Oven I have ever owned. CONS ⚠️ • Dishwasher not recommended after every use. • Cost - This is an investment piece for sure, for me justified due to Non Toxic and how long this should last. Wait for a sale if you can! OVERALL RECOMMENDATION ✅: Highly recommend!

Perfect and easy to use

We already have the two smaller sauce pans, and I am so glad we added this pot. So much easier to make soups and pasta in. Easy to clean and take care of. I like that it's wider and not as deep as some other 6.5 Qt pots.

I just received my pan. I haven't used it yet so I will update once I have but it arrived quickly and it was packaged excellent. Its heavy and beautiful. It feels like a very expensive pan hopefully I will have it for a long time.

I just received it. Looks nice. No cleaning cloth included. Couldn't activate warranty on Amazon without first writing a review. But I haven't used the pot yet.

Love this pot. Use it mainly to steal veggies.

So far this pan has been easy to use, easy to clean, and is of great quality! A great addition to the kitchen.
