Great Color Clarity, But Wish the Tanks Felt Fuller
As a small business owner who creates custom stationery and wedding invitations, I rely on my printer for consistent, professional results. I’ve ordered this Canon PG-285/CL-286 2-pack several times now, and while the output is excellent, there is one consistent drawback. The Pros: Color Accuracy: The CL-286 Tri-Color cartridge produces beautiful, vibrant tones that are perfect for my more colorful designs. It doesn't smudge on high-quality cardstock, which is a must for my shop. Text Sharpness: The PG-285 Black is crisp and deep. I never have issues with "grayish" text; it looks professional every time. Reliability: Since these are genuine Canon cartridges, I never have to worry about compatibility issues or "unrecognized cartridge" errors during a big print run. The Cons: Ink Volume: My one recurring frustration is that the canisters never seem to be completely full right out of the box. Having ordered these multiple times, I’ve noticed the yield feels a bit lower than expected for a "standard" set. If you are doing high-volume printing for invitations or postcards, you may find yourself replacing these sooner than you’d like. Final Verdict: The print quality is top-tier and perfect for professional-looking handmade items. However, due to the lower ink volume, I’ve started keeping a backup set on hand at all times. Great for quality, but be prepared for frequent swaps if you’re a heavy user!

I am not a high number copier. So the cartridge lasts quite a long time for me. As with any inkjet printer, it will have a limited life.
