I installed a 3 phase induction motor w/VFD on my mill a while ago. At first I ran it with 120v, but ran slow. Then I ran a 240 line to the mill and things were peachy. The VFD I have will take anything from single phase 120, split or single phase 240, or 3 phase input and output 3 phase. The output voltage is determined by what it fed into it. I moved, and always intended on running 240 to the mill again, but I really didnt want to break walls open, so I considered a spindle motor upgrade that could take 120. After looking at the price of the project, decided on just getting a step up transformer to test. First test popped the GFCI (didnt know it was GFCI at the time). Not surprising, as thats a known issue with VFDs. Tested it on another outlet and the spindle motor runs like a champ.

I moved from the states to S. Korea. I love this transformer. Makes no noise at all. Thinking about getting another. The only issue so far is when i unboxed it, the was a crack in the plastic of the port hole in the front. The functionality is the and is really heavy so I didn't bother to send it back. The power switch is obviously in the back, but an improvement would be to move it to the front if you plan on turning it off when you are not using it. For 3000w, this is solid. Much better than previous models I've used.

Thi transformer was God send for a couple months then it just started to trip the breaker on minimal load. The first thing that happened is the tripping the i discovered the cheap plastic inside where the output plug it melted and stuck the plug inside the transformer. I called an electrician and he ended up cutting the cord and running the wired straight. He switched the breaker back on and it worked for a few minutes before the break snapped again. I won't be buying anymore from this brand!

It works well. I have had no issues. It's easy to use. No overheating.

It takes care of the square wave on the older Inverters ....... it is just a transformer ....nothing more, HOWEVER that is what is needed to clean up ragged power from generators and square wave inverters . This unit is packaged nice, handles on top, control switch, two 110 plugs on the front. This is a nice package and it sure beats the extra it would take to upgrade to a pure sine wave inverter ..... it seems to take care of the motor problems and sensitive power problems. It was a cheap fix and it works great ..... I would think anyone making their own power would want to put one in line. Another good thing about this one is the step up/ down ..... I just got it for isolation and to clean up power from the inverter.

We are thrilled to be able to use here in New England the Thermomix food processor we brought back from France. Following advice of other buyers and web sites, we bought a step-up transformer rated for twice the wattage of the appliance. The Thermomix, a very brawny machine that cooks and can pulverize big chunks of ginger and blocks of frozen fruit, operates with just as much power as it did on the 220 current in France. We have been using it for a month. So far, so good. No overheating or loss of blade speed. The only reason I am not giving the Lite-Fuze 3000 5 stars is that it is quite heavy and takes up a lot of real estate on the kitchen counter. Also, we cannot be sure that it will continue to work as well in the months and years to come.

I bought this converter to use it with a special european cooking machine 1500 W max, equipped with electric heating system. I used it for three weeks each day, several times a day, even for 3-4 hours in a row. It worked well. No overheating, no smell. It seems quite sturdy. Cons heavy and bulky (but as same as any other) once it happened my circuit breaker triggered. Be careful to buy a converter with power 1.5 times the max power you want to plug on it

This sturdy transformer has a variety of plug-in types so no matter where you end up on the globe, this transformer will serve with proper grounding to your items. I did change the male cord plug for my locale as it comes with a continental European CEE type. One of my favorite features of this particular model from LiteFuze is the circuit breaker for a power switch. In the event of imperfect power overloading the unit (not uncommon in some countries, right?), you can reset the unit just by flipping the breaker...no need to go find the correct fuse. This unit is considerably over-sized for the rating of items I'm likely to use, but keep in mind that starting a motor or any other kind of initial surge will temporarily cause a much bigger draw than the claim on the manufacturer's label.

Jusqu’ici WoW, il est parfait. J’ai pu ramener mon Vox CC2x d’Europe et le faire fonctionner avec mon pédalier Tonelab, sans l’ombre d’un problème. Il ne fait pas un bruit! De très bonne fabrication. Arrivé en parfait état. Top, je recommande!

I used it in Canada to connect CD players made in Asia. Sufficient power supply for high demand. It is steady with current flow. Can't hear any noise. Also easy to set it up. Good value.

Works perfectly to power my Blum drill press

I give 4 stars because I was expecting the item comes with the European cord not the North American. Other than that I’m happy, it is as described by the seller, it came on the day it was supposed to come. I’ll see if it works in a couple of months on my holidays in Europe and I’ll update if it didn’t meet my expectations.
