We’ve had it for two weeks now and run about 4-5 cycles. It’s very quiet and there’s no smell. We keep it on the floor near the kitchen. Now it’s debatable whether the stuff that comes out is actually “compost” since all the good microbes have probably died in the heating and drying process, but I can dump this tiny amount and mix it into yard soil or whatever, and it doesn’t go to a landfill. Much better than a garbage disposal, which we can’t have since we are on a septic tank. I still have to learn about what this does to plants or gardens, but I’ll be experimenting in the spring. Read up about electronic composters and the end-product before you purchase. In the photos I posted, I started it at 7am, and it was done at 4pm when I got home. But it was likely done much earlier.

while it seemed to work great initially, once the coating peels off in the work area the units gets stuck almost every time!!the manufacturer replaced it the first time, but the second unit i received failed in the same way!!!

I saw another brand advertised on FB, but the price was 600.00. I did some research looking for the best composers and 2 different models were listed. I checked Amazon and found it for a third of the price with 50.00 off. I wasn't sure if it would work as well as stated, but it does. I use it all the time and now don't have to purchase compost starter or have a clunky machine. I love it so much that I have told numerous people and they were also impressed!

Item worked well for about 13 months. Then the blade separated from the drive mechanism. Contacted customer service and was informed that I was past the warranty period. I asked if I could simply purchase a new pot insert for the composter. I was informed many weeks later that a replacement part was not available. I would not recommend this item.

I like this composter-works great to reduce most of our kitchen scraps and is relatively quiet. But after 9 months it stopped working. The LED panel comes on briefly as the lid is being closed then goes dark, and the unit will not turn on. I have sent a Nutrichef a support request, so will see what they come up with.

within a few weeks it stopped fully dehydrating and left me with contents that were a gluey mess, Now the rotating arm has fallen to pieces. I'm not wasting any more time or money on this

I got this as I don't have a garage disposal. Cra. I felt bad for putting my scraps in the trash...the smell is awful and not good for landfill. I have cycled it 4 times, I cut any scraps into small pieces..you can throw half a piece of fruit for example. I get fine soil, no chunks. I need a garden to utilize! My only complaint, the internal bucket gets marked up and stays that way. I don't know if they can be purchased separately (a non-stick type inside might have helped)Overall, I like it. No stinky smell unless your scraps have been sitting for several days and you open it.Solid machine, press and play use.

I've been using this for a few months now and have no complaints. It works great, doesn't stink. I wanted a composter like this and was so worried about what to buy and what would work best, it took me months of debate and research to finally buy one, I'm so glad I did!

Wir haben den Komposter in unserer Ferienwohnung im Ausland stehen. Da hier ziemlich hohe Temperaturen hin den Sommermonaten herrschen und wir keine Nager durch einen im Garten aufgestellten Komposter anlocken wollen, haben wir uns für diesen elektronischen Komposter entschieden. Am Anfang waren wir sehr gespannt was das Gerät für Kompolst erzeugen wird. Nun sind wir sehr zufrieden, kein sinnloses Wegwerfen mehr von organischen Abfällen mehr. DIESE Abfälle hatten extrem gestunken und diese ekeligen Maden, endlich Schuss damit.Die Kompostierreste sind grobfaserig, aber lassen sich super auf den Blumen verteilen. Unsere Blumenkasten genießen die Mineralien die sie mit dem Kompost bekommen, es blüht und gedeiht hervorragend. Der Komposter ist etwas brummend, und er entwickelt Hitze beim Verarbeiten, darum haben wir ihn auf dem Balkon gestellt. Innerhalb von ca 2 h ist fertig verarbeitet und die Erde kann verteilt werden. Leicht zu reinigen, vethaltnismässig wenig Stromverbrauch.

This is the second composter that I have bought. The first was from a different manufacturer but served me well for seven years with almost daily use. This one makes equally good compost. It’s probably only truly environmentally friendly if you have Solar Panels though

I decided to buy this composter after seeing it in my friend’s house and being really impressed with how compact and convenient it was. After using it for couple a days, I’m genuinely pleased with the purchase.
