Marcelle Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads for Sensitive Eyes, 85 Pads

These are hands down the best makeup remover pads I’ve ever used. I have extremely sensitive skin and eyes, so finding a makeup remover that works has always been a struggle. I’ve tried makeup remover wipes, liquid removers, cleansing balms, and products made specifically for waterproof mascara, and every single one left my eyes red, irritated, and burning. These are the only ones I’ve found that remove my makeup completely without irritating my eyes. These wipes remove even stubborn waterproof mascara with ease, and unlike so many other removers, they aren’t greasy or oily and don’t leave behind any residue. They remove my waterproof mascara gently and effectively without making me feel like I’m having to rub my skin raw in order to get the mascara off. I trust this product completely and won’t use anything else. The only downside is that because it’s a Canadian product, it occasionally goes out of stock on Amazon USA. Every time it does, I cringe because I genuinely haven’t found another product that works for my sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin or eyes, I can’t recommend these enough—they’re absolutely worth it!!

I typically dislike makeup removers specifically intended for waterproof makeup, because they leave a greasy film on my skin after using, but this one is not like that at all. I have a number of contact allergies, so I've been paying closer attention to the ingredients in my skin-care products, and of the makeup removers I looked at on the various apps like EWG, Yuka, SkinSafe, and INCI, this one seemed like it had the safest ingredients. Incidentally, the regular version of this makeup remover has salicylic acid in it, which isn't considered safe to use on the eyes. The pads aren't that wet, and I wish they had just a tad more liquid (this is my first jar, so maybe the next one will be wetter). I prefer them not to be too wet though, because then less of it seeps into my eyes. One side of the pad has a slightly rougher surface than the other, and I use that side when I first clean each eye, resting it on my lid and lashes for a few seconds before using the texture to "grab" onto the mascara and remove it. The smoother side I use to do a final swipe to clean eyeliner and everything else from the skin in my eye area. I wear tubing mascara, for reference, not traditional waterproof mascara, which (like most things) tends to be very irritating on me. My eyes feel clean after using this, which is saying a lot. I always do a final wash around my eyes and the rest of my face soon after, using a nonfoaming cleanser, so I can't say how well these pads would work if one wanted to immediately reapply makeup, but I suspect that these pads would work better than other makeup removers I've used. I wouldn't recommend it, though, since the concentration of ingredients that is allowed by law tends to be higher for products that are meant to be rinsed from the skin, and bloodshot eyes aren't a good look on me! Anyway, so far I'm really happy with these, and wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else!

I had used another brand of eye makeup remover pads for years until they changed the formula. The new version did not work as well and I needed to use several pads - I still woke up some mornings with mascara smears under my eyes. Marcelle has been my go-to ever since, and I am very happy with it. Does not burn my eyes, or leave lids reddened. It’s been very effective at removing makeup easily.

This is truly the only Eye makeup & Mascara remover that actually works. I have tried many that gave false promises, but this Marcelle is great. Enough moisture for removal without irritation of the eye. This Company has my highest recommendation.

Not enough liquid. I purchased this product and their Gentle Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Liquid. The pads do not have enough liquid. I added some liquid from the other bottle, and they work great. Better to just buy the liquid and use a cotton swab. The remover solution is great, no irritation, not greasy, no residue. Great for sensitive skin.

Removes eye makeup and also face makeup with ease! I love how they are little pads and just so gentle on my sensitive skin! I can remove makeup (mascara, eyeshadow and liner) from both eyes with one pad so def worth it!

I have sensitive eyes,especially with working on a computer all day. I wear waterproof mascara and all my recent micellar water that I've tried have been a hassle with removing the mascara fully. I always end up with black under eyes after removing mascara as it's not fully off. These pads, even though are quite thin and smaller than expected as well as don't have a lot of product on them,are actually quite amazing. I don't leave reviews often but I was shocked when i used it today and in 1,2 swipes my mascara was off without hassle or leftover. I do recommend these,my eyes feel fine and clean.

I'm glad I tried these as even sensitive skin wipes tend to sting my skin. These pads are awesome and work great, without any skin reaction, redness or stinging. Will be reordering them for sure.
