Sharp - can be used 'straight out of the box'
Arrived with a very good edge on it and no need to strop straight away.Excellent quality, no complaints.

Good Blade
useful knife for fiddly little jobs. Handle a bit clicky.

Mora 122
It's a Mora, what else is there to say. Best suited to slightly larger pieces of work, the blade is a little thick for fine carving in my opinion. Brilliant for the price.

Good quality knife.
This is my third Mora Kniv whittling knife (I also have 120 &106) and am as please with this one as the other two. Very good steel in the blade and a good, nice to hold handle. Blade can take a razor sharp edge and responds well to using a leather strop.

Disillusioned with Mora brand
I have numerous Mora knives, outdoor bushcraft types and wood carving types, the 120 and hook knives. On the whole Mora offer very good quality for a reasonable price.I wanted a straight edge carving knife so bought this 122, and unfortunately the quality is awful. It came reasonably sharp but the laminated blade is soft and on mine bent which meant keeping a nice scandi ground edge very difficult.Contacted Mora only really to be told to bend it back straight in a vice, so bending a laminated blade back and forth in a vice over time to keep it straight. Not any offer of replacement (lifetime warranty eh?) just some lame excuse that it couldn't have been their own quality control, so whose, Amazon's then..... hmmm, not impressed.I'm also a member of a wood carving group and many people seem to be looking elsewhere, away from Mora products lately.

Poor quality blade: a bad batch?
I already have 4 other Mora carving knives and use them for whittling and spoon making from green wood.I like the shape of this one, 122, so decided to get one.I was really disappointed with the quality of the blade. After just a couple of uses, there were chips that were more like splits. I returned it for a replacement but when it arrived, the same problem occurred. I'm not sure if it's a bad batch. Don't know if it's worth getting another replacement or just a refund.Edit: after two replacements, I did eventually get a decent knife that was of a good quality. I think there must have been a bad batch or something, because I have never had a blade split like that before, or since.New knife is going strong.
