Buy them!
I always had issues with tampons flipping inside me, being pushed out while using the bathroom sometimes, constantly needed to be changed, the horrible feeling if you have to remove them dry, etc., so I thought I would give these a try and I am so happy I did! I have a copper IUD and I bleed extremely hard, like 60 ml a day sometimes and 80 ml a week is considered a heavy flow to give you an idea. I can put this in and go at least 4 hours on my heavy days before dumping and the whole day basically on lighter days. When I used tampons, I had to use super plus and sometimes would bleed through in 20 minutes and it was so frustrating. This has been a lifesaver! The great thing about a cup is the blood is contained inside of it up top at your cervix, so you stay fresh smelling as well. No dirty tampon smell or urine smell from the string getting pee on it while using the bathroom. When pulling out, squeeze it inside you some to release the suction and then pull it out. I didn't know and made a mess my first time, but now it doesn't make a mess at all with proper removal.Seriously, if you are thinking about trying these do it!

NO SPILL WHEN PROPERLY INSERTED- what I've learned!
I've used different brands of this product and realize now that using them sans spills of any kind depends entirely on how appropriately I insert the cup; specifically, we need to push it farther into the vagina by maybe an inch to half an inch (depends on your body). Usually I would insert and not push the bottom of the folded cup in after inserted- this method ALWAYS ENED IN SPILLS, great and small the worst part of which is feeling the drip come down and being pissed that you still need liners or pads. After pushing the bottom of the folded cup upward after it is already inserted, I was able to wear all day no drips, though I'd prepared for them. Removal is as easy but you bear down a second or two more because it's properly inserted over the opening of cervix. I have a pretty heavy flow with the cup being full upon removal, so purchased the large which is larger than the blossom cup large, which I also own. This is a good cup I like the thickness better than the others and the fact that the tip is longer makes for easier removal. The thing to know about cups is they need to work with your body and its shape so if you're having spills try pushing slightly further into the V-canal before blowing it off. It's great once you get it right!

DIFF DESIGN, BEWARE SIZING AND STIFFNESS
(pic is old design L and new design R)I bought bodybay cups a year ago and loved them. Unfortunately all the new listings are for a new design of the same product. I thought, ok, I know how weird these Amazon listings can get and I already know I like them, so for the price I'll give it a go.NOPE. Since I couldn't click on the old listing from my order history I had to go by memory. YES, I'd ordered Large previously, because I've had children, so Large it is. Well, no... Turns out after further investigation and a very awful fit of the new design I'm finding that they used to only have Small and Large. Now they have a Medium so Large is just too big. Also, the new design is a more dense material, offering very little give. A true intrusion you don't feel with a good fitting soft cup.The worst part of the new design is the stem. Not only is it lacking the grip ribs like the old design but the tip has a hole in it. It doesnt go through to the cup but that's an awful crevice for grossness to get stuck into. After further review I found another set with the same design as Bodybay used to sell. It was a few dollars more for a double set but they are exactly what I wanted. The nice rounded securing rim, the ribbed short stem, nice soft material.

Life changer!
Ok, so I was initially freaked out about using these. I did a lot of research. Not only was I concerned about what was in tampons, I found sometimes I was wearing them too long that I felt a little sick! Besides basic health reasons I was most intrigued by never paying for tampons again! I initially got the small one because I was scared. When it was heavy it leaked. So I sucked it up and bought a large since I’m over 30 with 2 kids! It’s pretty clear which one I should have bought! The large is barely bigger but maybe stronger?? I don’t know but it totally worked! I had to cut the tip part off because it bothered me but after that I don’t even know it’s there! It’s been so amazing I’m telling everyone, making some uncomfortable, but I don’t care people need to know about this! It’s been a total life changer!

YOU DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW THE SIZE CHART
Ok. I’ve been using cups for a couple of years now. I’ve always used a size “small”.I had a child last year. When I went to purchase these, I decided well they recommend the size large for after having a child so maybe that will be better. NO IT IS NOT. It is so UNCOMFORTABLE. It sticks out and I can feel it all day long. I should have stuck to what I knew. If YOU FEEL like you may need a large, then get a large but by all means, just because you had a child does NOT mean you NEED a large. I’m so disappointed now that I’m stuck with these larges that I’m just going to have to deal with at this point. 😞 Other than that, this material compared to other brands I have used is a bit more stiff so just keep that in mind as well. It’s just a bit harder to get inside.

Know your body before buying.
I hated using pads so I changed to tampons. I have heavy flows and I was scared to use so many tampons. I switched to the menstrual cup last month (only used it for one period cycle). At first I was scared cause I'm not sexually active; I thought it was going to be hard to put it in...it was. At first it was very uncomfortable to insert it. But then I got the hang of it. The first time I put it in, I inserted it correctly. But then the little stem was bothering me so I had to take it out and trim it a little. After that I inserted it again and it felt comfortable. But I started to leak, nkt cause of the stem trimming hut because I put it in wrong. It did take a couple of tries to know how to properly put it in.I was a little scared to go out in public with it too; scared of leaking.Taking it out was okay. As I took it out it was uncomfortable for my fingers; the thumb felt as if it was cramping up cause if the position I was taking it out.Over all I would recommend it for anyone who wants to save money with pads and tampons.
