Cheap but works
I was looking for a cheap endoscope for future DIY auto mechanic work. The instructions page is the usual poorly written English with very tiny print and pictures.. I am using this on a Samsung S9 smart phone with a C-adapter. At first, I couldn't get this to turn on but that was because I did not understand the strange adapter mix for USB-C. (See Pics) Focus is down to about 1.5 inches. Pic quality is ok but not great. Amazon rejected a previous version of this review for unknown reasons.

Works awesome! On a laptop! (Apps not compatible with phone)
This review is revised from my original, and I now give the product 5 stars it deserves. I loaded up the program 'Cheese' <(yep that's real!) photo video program in Linux mint, and plugged the camera into the computer. Whala! It works great! The adjustable led lighting works great and it's focus range is quite insane. All the way down to single lines of my fingerprint 1" away from the lens. This is a REALLY GOOD close up camera. The issue with these cameras, isn't the camera, but the Operating System version & phone make/model. Out of my 3 android devices, not a single one are compatible with any of the apps in the play store that require USB OTG, even though the OTG test app says all three phones are OTG compatible.I'm glad I didn't send this camera back. This USB OTG compatibility across various phones/os's is about as sketchy as USB support was 20 years ago when it first came out. I think I'm just gonna use my Linux laptop to use this camera in the field until an app comes out that is compatible with my phones. If yours doesn't work with your phone, remember it's probably not the camera's problem, it's the app/phone problem.Tmobile Revvl, Alcatel 5049w, Android 7.0. I will continue to wait for a better software app to use this camera.

Close up focus only... good otherwise.
It works great for close up inspection. Used to peer inside an engine cylinder it was able to show signs of water damage. Unfortunately it's a bit of a 1-trick Pony as the camera seems to be unable to Auto Focus properly on any item more than a few inches away. I don't see this camera being of any use if you were trying to see something more than a foot away from the cameral lens.Other positives worth mentioning... its tiny. It fits through a spark plug hole with room to spare. The manufacturer recommended app is garbage but other free Android apps are available that work just fine with this camera. It's cheap cheap so if it gets lost or destroyed during use it's not a great loss. Being able to view directly on an Android device makes it super handy.

Works Great, Clear Picture, Find Lost Items!
I bought this because I am always dropping things under my car seat and I can't find them. This little camera is so cool because it allows me to see things that I've dropped and I could see it clearly as well! I bought a different brand last month and the picture quality was so poor so I decided to give this one a try. I am very impressed and will buy more as gifts for family.

Phenomenal Value and functionality
This has been one of the best investments I have made in a while. It can hook up to computer / tablet / phone in minutes and has a great balance of rigidity and flexibility to snake into some very tight spaces. I have used it now many times in underwater / most spaces and had a few times I had to give it a few hard tugged to pull it back out and it held up great. Only thing is that its picture quality is as specified but you need to realize for the price it can't be color or light adjustable so you have to play with that to get recording to pull out snapshot of what your trying to see.

Limited with Mac, but still good at $20.
It works well, however, the Mac software is very limited. It's just a free share-ware download from Wikipedia. You don't actually need it, you can use the camera with any Mac program that supports your Mac's built-in camera. However, none of these allow you to change the resolution of the camera the way their non-Apple cell phone software does, so my picture is always very grainy. It's still useable, but I don't get nearly the picture quality that non-Mac users are getting. It's still a good deal for $20 though. The manual is pretty useless, but the camera isn't hard to figure out. I don't know how it works with the Windows PC software.

Great product, works well and is high quality only ...
Great product, works well and is high quality only down side is how they deliver the software for it to work on your computer and would be nice if they had an iPhone adapter as well instead of just an android based phone adapter, but once I set it up it worked great

Lot of fun
Exceeded my expectations for the price. I purchased to be able to check on some honeybees. Being able to locate the hive in a porch of a house helped minimize damage to the house. After that my 10 year old son has scoped all kinds of things cause it's just cool. I did download a different app suggested by a different review ,otg viewer, using my Galaxy note 8 and it has worked flawlessly. It could stand to be a bit more rigid.
