Just buy it!
Buy this chair now! I'm doing to do my best to be as concise as possible and refrain from going on an endless rant about how much I love this chair. What I'm going to do instead is accurately and thoroughly review this marvel of modern engineering. First I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 6 foot tall 250 pound military member with previous surgery on L5S1 which has left me with nerve pain every day of my life as well as problems on three other levels of my spine.Generally chairs aren't designed to seat a person of my stature and won't last very long. I requirea chair that's very sturdy, adjustable and ergonomic. The box came, overjoyed I struggled to lift it into my apartment. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. It gave me a sense of assurance in knowing that I bought quality. The Hardware felt to be of good manufacturing. Also I received double the hardware necessary to assemble the chair. I LOVE EXTRA HARDWARE. The instructions were very well illustrated and the chair built in minutes. One thing that I really appreciated was the way adjustments were engineered into the design of the chair. While assembling you can adjust the width of the arm rests. Once the bolts are tightened down your arm rests will only adjust up and down. Another adjustment built into the chairs construction is controlling the distance from the seat to the back rest. This is generally only a feature on higher end chairs and I was happy to see that is has quite a bit of range. The roller blade wheels are amazing! My apartment has tile floor and my old terrible chair struggled to move anywhere, often getting tiny wheels stuck in the grooves of the tile. It generally made navigating chasms of my unorganized room clumsy and difficult. With these rollerblade wheels I can glide from one end of the room to the other. Its effortless, I love it.The mesh feels very comfortable and breathable. The lumbar support is amazing. I nearly fell asleep the moment I sat in this. The lever that allows the chair to tilt back or sit straight up is the kind of lever that you push down or pull up. This is very good because some other chairs have a lever that's essentially a bar that you slide horizontally. Over time the bar can work its way out so when you go to sit back in your chair the lever pops out and the char sends you flying backward. This has happened to me at least fifty or sixty times and I have ended up on the ground as a result of this. The design of the seat back lever of prevents this from happening. This chair is so comfortable that I felt the need to write this review as soon as I sat down. Already my back feels better, my nerve pain is reduced. I had been sitting on a broken chair for over a year and a half until I noticed the amount of discomfort I was ignoring and pulled the trigger on this. I will update this review if anything changes or the chair fails overtime.

The Lumbar Support Is A Must Have
I ordered this chair after a couple of months at my new office, as the chair they provided that was just awful. It had no way of locking it from rocking backwards. offered no lumbar support. and no arm wrests. The box came to my door a little beat up, my guess from the shipping handler, however everything inside was packaged well to prevent any metal from scratching and any fabric from tearing.I ordered without expert assembly, a little worried it would be rather complex. From start to finish the assembly of the chair takes 8 steps, with instructions and images to aid. It comes with every tool you need and even includes extra screws in case you lose any. It also came with these microfiber gloves to prevent the lubricant they put on the washers and certain parts of the chair from getting on your fingers however they were too small and wouldn’t fit over my hands, but at least the thought and time was taken by the manufacturer. I would recommend you have someone help you when installing the arms onto the base of the chair as it can be pretty difficult to line them up correctly, luckily I had my wife to help me. Otherwise, this has to be easiest piece of furniture I have ever assembled. All of the threaded sockets for each screw were lined up great, I had no issue screwing the parts together and didn’t strip a single screw. Now let me focus on what/how much I enjoy the chair. I have used it heavily for a week since I got it and it has really helped me relieve pain in my back as I am often having to work at my desk as of late. The fabric on the seat, and head is mesh with some sort of foam, that offers support and comfort at the same time. The back is just the mesh fabric which allows the chair to breath so you don’t warm up and sweat constantly from sitting for longer periods of time. You can lock the seat at any angle to prevent it from rocking back further (a must for me) and by far my favorite part is the adjustable lumbar support in the back rest. A small curved block (hard foam I think) sits at the lumbar and a knob can be used to adjust it in and out to your desired level. You have not enjoyed sitting in a chair yet until you have found the perfect support for you lumbar. The head rest is adjustable up and down, is curved, and you can rotate it somewhat to whatever is most comfortable for you. I am 6ft 3in, and have no issue fitting in the chair and the head rest is tall enough to still be used comfortably for me and offer support (big fear of mine with any office chairs). The arm rests are your standard variety comfortable supporting hard foam, that can be adjusted up and down.I am very happy with this chair, its the first I have ever bought. It is simple, easy, looks good, and is relatively light. Another thing I consider to be a perk (others might not) is I have carpet in my office and most wheels on chairs are designed in such a way that catch the carpet and prevent it from moving. The wheels on this chair seem to be designed to avoid this. They are well built in my opinion and are free of that annoying cover most manufactures put over a wheel, that encompass the whole wheel, and catches carpet.

A Good Value
Update (2/6/20):Almost have had this chair for 2 years now and it's still holding up pretty well. The mesh cushion has sunken a little bit, but is still comfortable. Despite other reviews about the legs of the base breaking, mine have held up perfectly fine. The back mesh is still strong and supports me just fine. The arm rests are still going strong despite my initial concerns. The only annoyance I've had is with the bolt assembly for the back rest. I'm not sure if there were supposed to be nuts included with these, but there should be since I had to re-tighten them on a 1 to 2 week basis if I didn't want the back to wobble when it was supposed to be locked into place. I finally got annoyed enough to just go to a hardware store and find some that would work. This was a few months ago and since then I've not had to re-tighten them. YMMV.=========================================================================================Original Review:I needed a replacement for my 10 year old office chair, so I figured I would at least get a decent replacement. I received it in the mail a couple days ago and I'm not regretting it so far.Pros:1. Very comfortable to sit in for more than a couple of hours (my old chair caused me mild back pain after an hour of sitting). The breathable mesh back keeps me fairly cool in my otherwise hot office.2. Easy to follow instructions. It only took me 30 minutes to put it together. I suggest attaching the back onto the bottom bracket before installing it to the seat unless you have a second person around to help. You also might want to check the shims before you start construction. There are only a few that fit the large screws (I had to take 3 screws back out just to get the right shims).3. Included everything you needed to put it together. They even threw in some mesh gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty!4. The mostly metal construction feels very sturdy and like it will last.5. Adjustable height arm rests are super nifty. Especially when you're switching between different height desks like me on a regular basis.6. The casters are very quiet and easy to roll. I can pretty much roll across the office in dead silence if I want.Cons:1. The box was pretty banged up by the time I received it. I'm not faulting Duramont for this, but it does suck seeing a moderately expensive item come in such a ragged looking package.2. The chair has a very strong chemical smell. I left it to air out overnight and it has helped, but I definitely need to do it a couple more days. It might not bother you, but it gave me a headache.3. The armrests feel a little wobbly. This isn't from the bracket being loose, but from the lifter mechanism not being super tight. It's probably fine, but it does make me wonder how long they'll last.Overall I'm happy with it so far. I've sat in more expensive chairs similar to this price and this chair doesn't seem too far behind. It's definitely worth the extra cash over the basic task chairs you'll find everywhere. I'll keep this review updated down the road depending on how well the chair holds up for me, but I think it should be okay for a long time. Cheers!

Luxurious? No. Wicked comfy? Hella!
First impressions. Replacing a Respawn gaming chair, looking for something with a more robust seat. The Respawn seat flattened to the wood in a few weeks, had to buy a butt cushion, but that's another review. I need a solid well constructed, very comfy all-day chair for telehealth work. I was looking at mesh chairs, but worried about stretch and longevity. Wife nixed all my cushy leathery chairs like the Sertas, and got me to buy this one. Looked like a nice cushy seat, comfortable airy back. Seemed a bit pricey, but I'm cheap (the Sertas evidence to the contrary), which is why the wife picked the chair. It looked good, so we bought the Duramont ergonomic chair for a solid seat and a mesh back, a hybrid.Nicely boxed, heavy. Well packaged, arrived undamaged. Unpacked in a few minutes. I followed the easy directions, one page. Had it together in less than 25 min. It really does come with white cotton gloves, and a very nice T hex wrench. Popped the wheels on, stuck the airlift in the very heavy solid metal base. Nice wheels. The cat is a very big 18 lb Siberian for scale, who is head butting my phone as I try to write this. His name is Zaphod, big lovey lug of a cat. I used the box as a table to build the seat on which made getting it together by myself quite easy. I set the seat upside down on the box. I put the base on first, instead of the armrests, because as an American ain't no one the boss of me. Actually, because ts massively heavy and held the seat down steady. 4 bolts, solid, felt like they could take gorilla tight, but I stopped just short. The armrests were also easy, but I could feel the wood give a bit on a couple bolts so they are nice and tight but also not gorilla tight. Solid. This thing is a tank. First sitting: luxurious? No. Kinda utilitarian. Wicked comfy? Hella yeah. The seat is firm and very comfortable for my 5"11", 235 lbs of chubby buddy. Loving that lumbar pad support, right where its suppose to be on my back. I found I have the armrests all the way up, as well as the head rest, but it's quite comfortable. This seat can be raised really high, my feet don't quite touch the ground at full extension of the airlift, nice for my high desk. First impression: solid, well constructed very comfy chair. Is it worth $329? I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm cheap. My wife never misses getting the quality she pays for, this chair included. Tomorrow's work day will tell if its a solid, well constructed very comfy all-day chair. If you want quality, this is a good bet.

ADJUST YOURSELF TO ONE OF THE MOST COMFORTABLE OFFICE CHAIRS I HAVE EVER SAT IN!!! UPDATE
UPDATE I have had this chair for almost 3 years. Its as good as it was when new. I had an issue with a pad and their customer service could not have been better. When I decided I needed an office chair for my home office I went to Amazon and started looking. I looked at some 15-20 different office chair, drafting chairs and others. Read about 50 reviews to see what people liked and didn’t like. It was helpful in considering what I needed for a bad back. I finally chose this Duramont Ergonomic model. I could not be happier. The adjustable lumbar support was a clincher in deciding to buy it. The other features I liked was the ability to adjust so many features of the chair. The arm rests move up and down with the push of a button when the chair is set up. I also liked that they could be moved forward and backwards as well as closer together (narrow the width). While these adjustments requires some after assembly screw loosening adjustments they are very easy to make (don’t overtighten the screws when attaching the armrests to the seat). The other adjustments that can be made include the angle of the seat back, the tension it takes to move the seat back, the height of the seat, the height and fit of the head rest (I wasn’t looking for a headrest but glad that the chair has it) and most importantly for people with lower back problems, the placement of the lumbar support. You don’t realize how desirable it is to have all these adjustable features until you finally adjust them and sit in the chair. The chair was a cinch to put together, it took about 30 minutes. Parts were clearly marked, necessary tools were provided, two Allen wrenches. The fit and finish was excellent. It is a quality chair. But the most important consideration is how comfortable it is. One reviewer said he almost fell asleep when he was writing his review. I can see why, it is that comfortable. I wanted mesh for breathability and comfort and this chair has it.I don’t know how long these chairs are supposed to last but my read on quality putting it together indicates it should last a long time. Given all the features I think this chair is well worth the $240 I paid, especially when you look at well known brands like Herman Miller whose chairs sell for $1,000 or so. THIS IS A GREAT VALUE.

Great chair for 4 years, then rapidly fell apart.
This chair was the first time I spent more than $100 on an office chair. And, initially the benefits were huge. so much adjustability and more functionality for leaning back. But all this came at a cost, and more than just in the price tag.I used this chair for 7-8 hours a day for 4 years. After about a year, I noticed it would lean back easier and easier. So even if I just wanted to sit up with some back support, it would sink back and I would be practically reclining. I did some adjustments, problem solved. Rinse and repeat about once a month for two years and gradually the adjustments became harder and harder to make.In the third years the plastic attaching the back to the base broke and the back was permanently leaning back a little bit. Not a huge deal, so I lived with it. But it slowly broke more and more until eventually I effectively had a stool.I did some jury rigging with industrial glue, and got it last another year. Then today I noticed the tension for the base was leaking onto the ground. Probably because I'd had to tighten it so much over the years to prevent it from leaning when I didn't want. After trying to fix it, i have lost all control of the lean function and the I am left with a floppy stool.I still got my money's worth without a doubt. But I just found it quite surprising that it didn't last as long as those $70 chairs I'd get at office max. It makes sense when I think about it: this chair had a lot more moving parts and thus a lot more points of failure. All this being said, I think I'll stick with cheap chairs that stay at the same comfort level for longer, even if it isn't nearly as nice as when the more expensive chair was brand new.

The absolute best ergonomic chair for students!
I recently made the decision to upgrade my study space to an ergonomic setup. I'm a medical student and long hours of studying were starting to make my back hurt, which was distracting me. I spent a long time researching different chairs and trying to find the best one for a reasonable price. I finally settled on this one and I'm glad I did!I've had the chair for almost two weeks no and it has been life-changing! I'm no longer having the lower back and shoulder pain I was before. The chair came on time and only took about 20 minutes to put together. I was able to do it myself and it came with everything I needed. It was very easy to adjust. The headrest is such a nice bonus because it keeps me from straining my neck. The adjustable lumbar support is probably my favorite feature the chair has. I have some spinal issues and my lumbar spine curves in more than normal which makes finding good back support hard. I was able to adjust the lumbar support easily with this chair and it made an immediate difference. The seat is very comfortable and the mesh material is great for the warmer weather. The ten-year warranty on the chair was another reason I decided to buy it. A lot of other models had limited or no warranty and I didn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars without being sure that it was under warranty. The chair feels very well made and sturdy. It's stable and I haven't had any issues feeling like it was going to tip over when I leaned it back. I have thick carpeting in my living room and the chair is still able to roll over it without much issue. In my opinion, this is probably the best ergonomic chair you can buy for under $300. It has a lot of the features the more expensive chairs have but at an affordable cost. Super impressed with both the chair and customer service. For reference, I am 5"5 (65 inches) tall and about 130 lbs. I highly recommend this chair for any students, office workers, gamers, or people who have to spend a lot of time in front of a computer.

4 years later... Cushion good. Arm rests bad.
I've had this chair for over 4 years now and it's been one of the best desk chairs I've owned. The chair is comfortable, offers great back support, and is overall durable. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is due to one of the arm rests giving out and tearing about a year ago. The seat cushion is still overall in good shape, but has started to lose some support. Side note depending on what you're looking for: The roller blade wheels are great on soft surfaces, but if you're on a hard surface be prepared to drift away from your desk from time to time.

Buy an office chair as good as the best you've had - for one-sixth of the cost
I had this chair delivered yesterday after spending a few weeks looking through several options on Amazon and on the web. In a nutshell, this chair is just as good as my office chair, which was specially ordered for me to address occupational health issues with my back. Indeed, I initially considered buying a chair like the one in my office but the price was nearly 6x over what the Duramont is on Amazon. The only difference being that the arm rests can't be adjusted in- or out-wards (but they can certainly be adjusted up or down). The materials and mechanism are visibly high quality, and all the nuts, bolts for assembly, including a handy tool and gloves, come in a cardboard pack. I assembled the product within 20 minutes. Having been through several chairs in my 50-years, I would definitely recommend this one, especially for users from a medium to large frame who like a sturdy, firm chair (I'm 6'2'' 82kg/12.9 st). I should also suggest, that if you're inclined to go for an option that is around £100 cheaper, do yourself a favour and invest in this one. To finalise, I have a small beef with the inclusion of a "Scan to claim 10-year warranty" card that asks to point your mobile phone to a QR code and "Watch what happens". What happens is that this triggers a script that launched my phone's text app with a code to be sent to a phone number in Nicaragua (country code 505). Because I'm mindful of personal data protection concerns, I will not be claiming my 10-year warranty, but I'm indeed confident the chair will at least last me 6 years (as the one I've just replaced did).

Very comfortable and ergonomic
Great ergonomic chair specially for tall/big people. It comes with the tools required to assemble and took 20-30mins to put together. The seat cushion is quite firm and will take time to be softer by multiple usage. I use it to work from home.
