Great Set to expand your Rebel fleet.
Anybody looking to expand their Rebel fleet should certainly consider this expansion. After the X-wing, the A-wing and the B-wing are probably the next most recognisable of the rebels smaller ships. Having the two different ships in the Rebel Aces expansion means that you can quickly build up a bit more variation in you fleet. The A-Wing's core stats are: Attack: 2, Agility: 3, Hull: 2, Shields: 2. The A-wing can also Focus, Target Lock, Boost, and Dodge. The B-Wing's core stats are: Attack: 3, Agility: 1, Hull: 3, Shields: 5. The A-wing can also Focus, Target Lock, Barrel Roll. The paint jobs belong to unique squadrons with specific pilots to make this expansion different to the stand alone A-wing and B-wing expansions. A great Star Wars miniature set if you are just starting out and looking for some new ships to grow your rebel fleet. For myself, it was the first expansion I bought after the core set (Not including the millennium Falcon of course!).

Nice ships, crap stands, expensive, they ruined the game!
Stands have always been flimsy and fall off for all my ships. Expensive, greedy company, thanks for ruining the game with 2.0!Don't like some of the unnecessary new rules in the updated version that I am sure they were pleased to see lots of people spend money on to update their cards... Don't like a lot of the stat changes too. I also don't like having to fork out hundreds to update my vast fleet of ships! They got into this because they kept adding new ships with poorly balanced rules to a game that would be better if it was done in GW warhammer format. Now every so often if they mess the balance up by adding more increasingly overpriced ships, they can just redo the rules and make you pay out potentially hundreds to update your rules!Oh yeah that is another thing. When I first got into this the ships were quite a bit cheaper, and that's not mentioning how they add i.e. a new tie fighter that is basically a slightly sturdier empire tie and they make about £5 more expensive! They also seem to be making a lot the newer ships cost more because why not?!Going to copy paste this for all xwing I have bought because the company deserves it for digging the players a hole to then charge people money to get out of it, of which they can do again for the next time the rules need revamping. Also, yeah the stands are flimsy and some of the fighters literally fall apart due to poor build quality.

The best thing you get is an upgrade for an A-wing ...
This upgrade give you an A-wing and a B-wing.Both have slightly different colours to the normal ones. The coolest thing you get is an upgrade for an A-wing that goes in the missile slot that reduces the points cost of an A-wing by 2. You get 3 of those cards and they make the A-wing a ship to consider. Other than that you get a couple of decent pilots, 2X Enhanced scopes and 2X A-wing test pilot cards. Pretty decent but probably won't change the way you play the game.Even with this extra subtle boost A-wings still have 2 firepower so it hardly makes them an elite ship that can hold its own with the best of the best. What this expansion does is give slight boosts to the A-wing and B-wing but nothing crazy.Cards included...Chardaan Refit x3Proton Rockets x2Enhanced Scopes x2A-Wing Test Pilot x2B-wing/E2 x2Kyle Katarn (Crew)Jan Ors (Crew)Pilot cards...Jake FarrellGemmer SojanGreen Squadron PilotPrototype PilotKeyan FarlanderNera DantelsDagger Squadron PilotBlue Squadron PilotAll in all its good value to get the 2 ships and the system upgrade cards and title cards but its not going to radically help you dominate in your games like say the Falcon or outrider expansions can.

Worth The Purchase.
Fantastic addition to the x-wing miniatures game(i am not a competitive player just a table top gaming fan) These 2 ships along with their upgrade cards and unique pilots mix up the game play in a great way, from the bulky B-wing to the nimble A-Wing.I found many combinations that synergies with other ships e.g. using red moves to gain stress on the B-wing Having a upgrade/skill on the A-wing that lets you remove stress from other friendly ships then using the elite pilot/crew skill on the B-wing to gain a free focus when stress is removed... May seem like a lot of extra work for a focus token but X-Wing is a game about movement and positioning so being able to perform those red moves without penalty (with benefit in fact) is a game changer.

A-Class Awing.
Who doesnt love A wings? The Perfect pocket aces. And B's for the times you need a heavy fighter to get right in the thick of it.This variant Paint job on the A also makes it wonderfully appropriate as an escort for the Ghost

Good complement for your A-Wings or B-Wings.
Nice upgrades for B-Wing and A-Wing starfighters. Loving the named pilots' skills, specially.Still, it doesn't replace the A-Wing and B-Wing independent expansions, that you will probably want to have also because of their unique cards and extra ships. It comes with a fun scenario that I am looking forward to trying.
