Blinded love
I absolutely love Catharina books. This one had me raging at the injustice my poor Raven suffers, screaming at Ares to get a clue. Yes nice guys finish last boy, so toughen up.I highly recommend for those who will fight for the man/women they love. Lots of angst so be prepared to cry. Well worth the hard won ending.

First Time
This is the first Catharina Maura book I’ve read and it didn’t disappoint! Filled with a bittersweet intro I was intrigued to see how the story would play out. Raven is such a sweetheart and deserves her happy ending more than anyone and OMG I swear her dad is the only semi decent one in her family. Full of twists and turns I ended up reading this in like a day and I’m going straight onto the next one.

LOVE THIS!!!! 💕
Spoilers!!I am absolutely obsessed with Ares and Raven. I loathe Hannah and her mother. They're the true definition of narcissism. Sooo happy that Raven finally stood up to her and she finally knows what unconditional love feels like. I root for her and Ares. There were times when I was like "uhhh girl, no, just leave!" But I'm so glad she stuck it through. She fought for her happiness and so did Ares, and I couldn't be more happy they did. I'm very happy Raven and Ares cut off her sister and mother, they're vile and had me literally clenching my teeth!! #trauma #ptsd 🤣This is the first book I've ever read from Catharina Maura and I loved it. I love the plot, the characters and the way it was written. The smut is beautiful 🔥🔥 I'm very happy overall. HEA guaranteed, even though it shook me a few times 🤣Already bought the others in the series. Very excited to start my next one.I absolutely ADORE Sierra and I really can't wait for her story. She's a lil psycho and I love it! 🤣💕💖I rarely write so much but I had to! Mine was the ebook version and I also read the bonus scene that's linked at the end of the book.Thankyou!! 🫶🏻

A classic love story
A real page turner from the start. Raven is in love with Ares but unfortunately he's in love with her sister Hayley and they are engaged to be married. Due to their families it was decided originally that Ares was going to be married to raven but one night changed all the plans.SpoilersHave to admit all the way through I was on Hayleys side. I felt for her. The author made her out to be this heartbroken woman who had her reasons for delaying the wedding. The betrayal of her sister and her partner was justified.I didn't like Ares at all. Raven was stuck in the middle of an impossible situation.Obviously my opinion changed eventually but initially I felt sorry for her.the problem with these characters they put money before love. It was more important for them to keep in line and being told what to do by a meddling grandmother than to live their lives. What a world to live in.Well written with good characters and dialogue. Worth a look.

Moment of honesty
I have been teased by this author for a while now with ads for her various books popping up in my social media newsfeed. I have read the blurbs and even previews but this is the first actual book I have read as I normally read paranormal rather than contemporary. I did really enjoy this book and found it very hard to put down. I loved Raven and my heart ♥ broke for her so many times. At the beginning of the book I wanted to smack Ares upside the head a few times, the day after he married Raven he tells Hannah in front of her that it will always be her he loves? There were a few moments where I really wasn't impressed with him but as the book went on he did sort his head and and came through. Other than than it was a very angsty, heartwrenching story with a possessive hero and a heroine who finally learns her own worth. Next time I want to read contemporary I will be reaching for another Catharina Maura book

Amazing read
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I loved everything about this book - the storyline, the grandma, the female friendships, the love and the angst and the banter between siblings.I've read this book in one day and the way I devoured it should be proof enough to show how consumed I was with the story. This was one of the book that I could not put down.I also really hated Hannah and her mom and my heart broke for Raven every single time she had a dialogue with them. You know the book is great when you really feel angry for a fictional character - well, I've got two here!!I'd recommend this to everyone - Catharina Maura is amazing and everyone should read her work!Tropes covered -Billionaire RomanceFriends to loversBest friend's brotherTouch her and you dieFound familyGreat banter

Great book
I loved it, it has all of my needs regarding an arranged marriage but the spice and love I loved it, I really love her character and even if she’s very passive in arguments I love how she stand up for herself at the end, really good book.

Emotional Rollercoaster
For starters, this book is incredibly well written. Kudos to the other. Each chapter was relatively short and fluid. One easing into the other. The plot is great, but there were parts that really trigger your emotions.Spoilers ahead...Hannah is beyond toxic. She is evil. A woman who grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. A woman who was given a second chance at life courtesy of her litter sister. A woman blessed with beauty, wealth and privilege. Yet none of that tempers that hate she has in her heart for the little sister who saved her life. The chapters involving conversations between Hannah and Raven or Raven and her mother were hard to read. The dialog that took place between these women had this reader feeling so sorry for Raven, yet at the same time wishing Raven grew a back bone sooner. Raven was never loved by her own family. Her father showed tenderness, but did not lover her enough to protect her from the verbal and emotional abuse inflicted upon Raven since she was a child. He took a passive approach as 1 daughter was abused at the hands of his other daughter and their mother. Those were the toughest to read. In the end, Raven cut the 2 women out of her life and maintained a relationship with her father, but I had hoped she would have cut him loose too. He was complicit and a quiet observer to the tyranny of his eldest daughter and wife. So he doesn't get a pass in my book.Raven. Raven's weakness was really tough to stomach sometimes. Her constant insecurities were so annoying. While it's easy to understand where those insecurities came from, there were so many chapters - way too many - of having to watch her acceptance of being a punching bag. She was so brainwashed in to subservience that it was aggravating to read so much of it in chapter after chapter. It wasn't until towards the later chapters that she finally found her voice, but by then you're more than two-thirds finished with the book. Overall, her character was kind, I just wished she was given a back bone a lot sooner. She took guilt to the point of martyrdom.Ares. I found this character likeable. Even though he didn't always say the right things when it came to Hannah and Raven, his character is overall an honorable man that bounds himself by duty, obligation, and love for his wife Raven and his Windsor clan. He has a strong moral compass and strives to do the right thing. This book is a great story and definitely worth reading.I only caution that it will have you yelling at the pages, especially when Hannah and her mother are speaking. Those women are the definition of venomous creatures. Hannah is especially ruthless and has no conscience and no redeeming qualities. She is the most insidious character in the entire story.

the book was truly amazing. The author is really in touch with her readers and sends deleted chapters trough mail. The book is easy to read, there's no hard vocabulary.
