BBQ Time!
Great quatity product - well at least it looks it - still February so havn't used it yet.Slight glitch when Black Knight did not send the warming tray with original order but quickly sent it on by first class post the next day. Now built the BBQ in a stonework wall along the patio and it looks great. One reason for buying from Black Knight is that you can buy the individual parts easily later on if they get damaged or get too weathered. Now roll on the good weather!

Solid product, poor manual - the package is somewhat overpriced
Arrived super quickly, well packaged. First impressions are positive - looks like it's solid and fit for purpose. The updated instruction however, are rather poor. List of materials needed is a bit confusing - 4 bags of building sand - 25kg, 1 bag of cement - 25kg. No matter how you look at it 25 or 25 a pop, it does not come out to 6 to 1 sand/cement ratio? Absolutely no idea what I might need a pencil for either :p Suggesting choke would probably be a better idea. The step by step instruction could use pictures - the few diagrams on one page are far from clear - figure 2 looks like the whole course is made of half bricks. Further in order to see the diagrams referred to in the step by step guide one needs to turn the page every time. It's mind boggling how anyone can come up with such a poor layout. A spell/syntax checker appears to be beyond whomever is responsible for the guide as well - with missing spaces between words here and there.Lastly, you recommend starting with the rear wal - and I'm not a brick layer, but remember my dad always saying you start with the corners ;)And lastly, most people have never laid a brick in their life. This is what you should consider when creating a manual. An ever better option, would be to provide written instructions accompanied by a video guide of the actual process. Considering the price of the product, few hundred pounds higher a competent builder and to produce one is hardly a cost you'd even notice.3 stars for now and thank God for YouTube and helpful people.I would not recommend this kit to anyone that is worried about the building process unless you are prepared to do some research on your own or already have experience.

the metal grill itself is great, front to back bars make it easy to use and it washes up well. The black base discoloured almost instantly and rusted almost as fast - hasn't effected the function, but after all the hype I was expecting something slightly more durable in looks

nice product
fantastic bbq great quality looks great had great fun putting this up like an hours work but i do work in the trade but recommend it to anyone "black knights kick ars" no doubt about that, if you have the ability make it without wondering how to point up brickwork and level stuff out get it square, etc. You will love it looks fantastic, good luck if you dont instructions are rubbish lol

Not worth the price.
Extremely disappointed. Bought as a gift for my partner for her birthday. Promised her an exceptional brick built BBQ as she's always wanted one. Used twice and cant believe the rust on the charcoal pan already. Product was bought as a high quality item, but obviously isn't.. not worth the premium price. Very disappointing.

Just the job!
Ordered this as a birthday present for my partner. It arrived very promptly, and all the elements are good quality, with a solid feel to them. It fittedperfectly on the existing brick BBQ framework in our garden, and it made delicious burgers!

Not as good as I thought it would be
The design they suggest is flawed. The bricks on for the middle tray prevent the coals tray from being removed. This means I have to put the coals in the bottom tray - away from the barbeque = then lift it back in (with gloves!). Other than that it is well built but not worth £50. My stone barbeque is nice though!

Excellent first bbq yesterday
Excellent first bbq yesterday. Brickwork tested my amateur brick working skills and took longer than expected, but end result exactly as hoped for. Instructions ok though could be a little better. BBQ itself was tested by a slight breeze yesterday and ash would probably have blown around in other designs, but not this one. Delighted with my purchase.
