Soldering Practice Kit - Electronics DIY Kit with 3 Leaves LED Rotating Gyroscope

This is my first smd project and I'm pleased with the result. It can be tricky but if you take your time it's doable and YouTube video's are helpful well a must before you start.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The components just came in a cheap bag with absolutely no instructions at all. Not worth 50p nevermind, nearly £8.

Once built, this is a fun device and has an impressive light display. The ball bearing racer makes it spin for a long time. This a difficult solder kit if you are not use to surface mounted devices. The LEDs are super small. I will definitely need a magnifier to do the soldering. Using flux and tweezers is a must. I had a problem with the switch, when the case was screws down the switch was pressed and did not release. I cured this with a small washer between the screw posts near the switch, so that the plastic switch was making less contact with the SMD switch. The Amazon page is confusing as it suggest batteries are included, then say further down they are not. I can confirm that batteries are not included.

Fun little kit, but not the easiest to make up. Most of the components are tiny surface mount types which means that great care needs to be taken when soldering. Also some form of magnification is a must

bought this to have a go at surface mounted soldering, the parts are tiny, see pic thats a LED lol that said i managed to do the kit and it worked first time and works well I tried to make a video but it came out awful but trust me, this is a great kit to learn on

Disappointingly small and fiddly

Don't order unless you buy batteries separately. You would have thought batteries were included

No instructions or ID marks on the components. Not useful without schematics at least
