Philips Satinelle Prestige Wet and Dry Cordless Epilator for Face and Body with 9 Attachments - BRE651/00

I’ve used an epilator for several years and this one seems less painful than my previous Remington model. I use it for my legs and armpits and I had to double check on first use that I wasn’t using the shaver head by mistake because I could barely feel it pulling out the hair. I was indeed epilating and it quickly left me smooth and fuzz free. However, I do find I need to epilate twice as often with this one, The Remington saw me smooth for an entire month or more, whereas I find myself going over with this one every week or fortnight in order to keep completely smooth and polished. I wonder if this isn’t pulling the hair from the root as well as my old one, which would explain why it’s less painful too.Personally I find the additional accessories surplus -,they’re a nice idea I rarely use them.Id save money and just purchase the main product! I wouldn’t pay full price, but it’s not a bad product and would recommend when it’s in offer!

I bought this one to replace an old Epilator I've had for years. It's much less painful to remove hair with this one, so something is definitely right with the technology. I chose this one because it was on sale and had a wide head.Pros: Much less painful, wide epilating head, easy to turn on and off and quick charging that lastsCons: The built in light doesn't do anything but blind you when you've epilating in the mirror so I've used a couple of stickers to cover it it. All the extra attachments are largely useless. The spaces that narrow the epilating field for smaller areas like bikini or lip then put the epilating grabbers too far away from your skin to actually grab any hair. The trimmer guard also stops the shaver from working as a trimmer. You might as well through those extra attachments in the bin.Conclusion: If it's on sale, it's worth buying as the epilator is really fab. But if you are buying it for all the extra heads, don't - they will disappoint.

Have used epilators for a while, this is without a doubt the best one I have used. Brought another brand prior to this and struggled with it, preserved though as cost so much. Finally gave in and bought this one and wish I had done it sooner. It is so much faster and does a much better job.

I was very excited about this product couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. It didn't pull out not a single hair. Tried on my legs, armpit, bikini line, moustache. Even tried on my eyebrows which I'm usually shaving as its tattooed. Didn't work anywhere. Though I have to tell that the face cleaning head and the massage head it's very good. But as an epilator, it's not usuable. I've sent it back !

Considerably less effective than older version of satinelle used for many years. Several passes needed to achieve anything like the same result as previous version. 'Gentle' equates to less effective. I don't need gentle. I require effective epilation which this doesn't achieve. Probably OK if you have less tenacious hair but if you have strong roots I'd avoid this. It's expensive and ineffective. Exceedingly disappointing.

Really nice to hold, battery lasts for ages and does a great job.

This is clearly a high quality epilator and comes with some great features, but there is no getting away from the fact that epilating is really painful, unless you have a very high pain threshold. I have to drink several glasses of wine before I can bear using it, but once I can bear it, it does a good job.
