Good Unit
Installed 2 months ago and so far it works flawlessly. You will need a very rare size hex head 5.5mm for removal of old and install of new. Also, having a second person holding the unit in place while screws are tightened will help a great deal.

Not easy with a center console
I kick myself for putting this off so long. For the money, this was an easy decision, but if you have a 2500HD with the center console, good luck with that first screw on the kick panel. I went through every tool in the box and couldn't find anything that made it easier. It took about 40 minutes to remove the one screw. Everything else took less than 10 minutes and I now have AC on the driver side again. I haven't reinstalled the kick panel because I don't hate myself that much.

Good for the price.
It works great but it is loud. I can hear it all the time.

Fixed my wife's 2005 Tahoe that was blowing HOT on driver side
My wife has a 2005 Chevy Tahoe. The A/C would go off (stop blowing) and at other times it would blow hot but only on the driver side. The passenger side and back were cold. We replaced the resistor which fixed the fan going off, but it still would blow hot most of the time on driver side.Read in a user group about how replacing the blend actuator could resolve this. So, I calibrated the AC system per a youtube, then replaced the actuator (a real pain to do because 1 screw is under the dash but behind the center console). After replacing it before use I re-calibrated again, then ran. IT WORKED~! It's been cold ever since (going on 1 month). Before this you were lucky if it might blow cold for a few minutes.
