Flexible American White Oak Large Wood Veneer Sheet 96inches x 24inches.

After searching the web for ages for a way to give my old pine stairs a face lift, I bought a roll of this veneer to cover the steps and treads as an experiment.So far I've covered a small landing, old worn pine boards too, and one step and riser and it works a treat and I can't believe how it has transformed the stair.The stair has a round bull nose so the flexible veneer curves round it beautifully.I gave the veneer 3 coats of a good quality floor wax/oil and it's come up a treat.Check out the before and after photos.I'm going to leave this top step for a while to see how well the veneer wears before tackling the remaining stairs and risers.This will be significantly cheaper than all the other solutions I found including custom built oak stair engineered wood covers. These would have required a carpenter to fit. The veneer can be cut with a Stanley knife or scissors.I used Evo Stick contact adhesive and it does require A LOT to cover the back of the veneer and the old wood, but I wanted the best adhesion possible to make sure the veneer was safe and it wouldn't come away from the step.It has been about 3 weeks and so far so good, still looking very smart after all the traffic up and down the stairs including a large German Shepherd.

We had a damaged window sill in the living room, but we now have a beautiful oak veneer window sill and no one can tell the difference from solid oak. A great product.
