Added extra clips to the rail and used by alternating clips on both sides of the rail allows more sockets to be held on the rail.I put metric sockets on one side, and SAE sockets on the other side.Also got a set of hex sockets and torx sockets on the rail as well.I took off the end caps and put a ziptie on the bottom end to keep the clips from sliding off, and I am using the top hole to hang the rail.

I wall-mounted these by screwing them in vertically into the firring strips/studs that hold the peg board above my work bench. As some other reviews have said, the clips that hold the sockets could possibly slide off the bottom when wall mounted vertically, but this can be fixed easily just by using a screw with a washer at the bottoms where you screw them into your wall . The washer just needs to be slightly wider than the rail that holds the clips so the clips can't slide off. I didn't notice the clips wanted to slide off anyway though. The weight and heft of the sockets seem to cause friction keeping the clips from moving. Even if they did slide down, the screw and washer will stop the clips from sliding off. It's an easy fix. You won't be able to reattach the vinyl end-cap covers with a screw and washer in place on the ends but they aren't needed anyway in this setup, or you can attach the screw and washer through the vinyl end caps if you want to but I didn't. I bought two of these organizers--one 1/4" and one 3/8". The 3/8" organizer works perfectly--as it should. Thank you. The 1/4" organizer however, does not function well. For the 1/4" organizer, about 25% of the nipples do not hold the sockets in place--the sockets simply slide right off. It appears many of the small, round bearings designed to snap and hold the sockets in place on the organizer are too small or improperly installed. Thus, 6-7 nipples on the organizer are of no use. Other reviewers have said similar. Disappointing, but I did not discover until it was too late to send back. Live and learn.Follow Up: I increased the rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because they refunded me the money for the organizer with the defective socket holders. Thank you for the refund.

They hold the sockets real well bought 2 and they work great.

At $10 with the 30% coupon its only an average value for its type. I bought this one because it has 24 holders. I can put a set of standard and a set of deep sockets with possibly a few spots for a short extension or universal joint. On the downside the end caps are just rubberized caps, kinda cheap compared to others with plastic ends which look much more finished. If you dont need the 24 holders on a rail you can do better elsewhere like the MichaelPro set I have. Will be ordering a blue one for metric. Arrived on time and fits description.

It was much nicer than I expected. Sockets go on and come off easily. I like the anodized aluminum.

It does what it suppose to do.
