This is the best Perlite I have found. It is a lot of perlite for a reasonable amount. If you do a lot of planting and repotting, you will be very happy with this.

The size could be more chunkier and there is a dust but it's not unusual. Perfect for what I use it for. It is a very large amount and lasts a long time.

I garden on an urban roof deck. It is a very large container garden - this stuff is invaluable for drainage, aeration, and weight control. I have several large planters whose plants and weight would be prohibitive were it not for the perlite and the enhanced drainage it can provide. I always opt for the coarse variety - the finer version is too easily compacted. I have used it as an amendment in potting media for small trees, flowering vines, perennials and annuals. It also saves money - as most commercial potting soils do not provide adequate drainage or aeration for large container plantings. They are also expensive - those bags add up. 4 cubic feet of perlite goes a long way. Amending potting mixes with perlite has allowed maximum growth with minimum re-potting/containering.

A few years ago, I went for planting my garden directly into the ground to raise bed gardening. I can now control the quality of my garden soil much better. Perlite is one of the additives I used to amend the soil. I can tell a huge difference when growing in raised beds as opposed to direct ground planting and I believe Perlite is part of the reason. I’m expanding my garden this year with two more raised beds, guess I’ll need more Perlite.

Excellent soil conditioner. I grow rare figs and need to keep my potting soil mix light and airy. Perlite is a natural material that is light weight, airy, and absorbs tons of water. I mix equal parts of good topsoil, peat moss, vermiculite and perlite and my plants do great. This is even approved for certified organic use.

Took over a garden that hasn't been worked/amended in 50 yrs, use to be a great garden, now, very bad shape. Took me 2 yrs to begin seeing results. The soil was so compressed it wouldn't drain properly, Thanks to perlite it is getting there. Large bag really helps as well, good job guys, Thank You!!!
