This movie is a milestone! even though it was made in 1993, it talks about current issues that we still have in our society today.It's touching and heart breaking movie.The actors are something more than incredible

Even though it's a very sensitive subject, this film will have you screaming at the tv at the audacity of the Lawyers, the underhand way they use the law to their advantage, I must say this is one of Tom Hanks finest parts and puts him at the top, with Denzel Washington, he also is a fantastic actor, after watching it after many years I didn't realise until recently that Antonio Banderos plays Tom Hanks partner. I'm ashamed to say I missed this. It has a wonderful cast and a must see

One of Favourite movies, it's heartbreakingly Beautiful and very striking in the way its telling you how people are/were treated and felt in that time and probably still to this day living with this disease .

an amazing film by silance of the lambs film director Jonathan Demme.its very emotional and amazing acting however if im honest now that ive seen And the Band Played On this film doesnt go deep enough into everything that happend in the 80s however i still really like this film and this films focus was totally different so its to be expected that this film doesnt have all the ins and outs and besides theres material in And the Band Played On i dont think would suit this style of film anyway they both have different points to get across, i love the writting in this, you see the ignorance of some people n how differently normal people who have aids are treated and how some other people think you can catch it only if your a man and thats its a male only desiease yet they seem to think your going to kill them if they touch you etc when thats simply not true (note: you will see in the film a women born with aids, so she didnt get it from catching off another person or touching a person with aids)if you enjoy this film i higly recomend And the Band Played On

a story of its time, very watchable and moving, brilliantly acted as oscars achieved support the opinion.

When it first came out several years ago, I was going through an angry phase and like several demonstrators portrayed in the film, I felt the same way as they did.However when I watched it this time through I felt intense sadness at what had transpired. Wrongly terminated from a job because one of the partners had a phobia is what this brilliant lawyer faced, discriminated because of his lifestyle. Wrong decisions by the law firm and their retaliation against someone who was different from the participants of the old boys club, plain and simple the law firm broke the law and didn’t want to be held accountable for their actions.Sad to say but this discrimination has happened in all walks of life and not only against people who have a different sexual preference, but also against people of race and especially against people who have weight problems.People are people, you find good and bad alike in all walks of life. Before putting people into a box try to understand where they’re coming from. Ask questions and maybe you’ll learn something.
