Bean Slicer Aluminum (for Slicing Beans) - MADE IN GERMANY

This sturdy Aluminium Bean Slicer is a well made product that makes quick work of slicing green beans. The clamp opens to 42mm and fits securely on most worktops. The handle unscrews from the plastic disk carrying the sharp metal blades for easy cleaning.

Pleased to get this been slicer as it will be so handy when runner beans are in season.

I still have the first version one, a Chromed cast one, made by PORKERT. A VERY SUPERIOR VERSION COMPARED TO THIS ONE. I got this one because I managed to bend the cutting blade. Anyway this version is very expensive RUBBISH. IT is made by WESTMARK. The blades are separate and fit into a plate which spins round. However this "plate" is wobbly and not a good fit at all and i doubt it will cut properly. The Blades do not touch the underside where they are supposed to shave the beans. IF they cut at all then the bean slices will be very thick indeed. i am very, very disappointed, such a load of junk. i can see people cutting themselves when trying to put the handle on to a bad piece of threading. I fear for people's safety. i feel ripped off. What a shame i cannot buy the other one. Please do not buy this cutter.

Looks a good strong slicer. It's for a Xmas present so yet to be used.

Does a good job of slicing runner beans. Sadly the bench clamp is pretty useless :(
