Has literally changed my life. Can't express how much I love it.
Firstly, subjective experience aside this is a superb cup that's great quality, appearance and general feel. Highly recommend it.Now the personal aspect:Thanks to this cup my periods have gone from being an unbearable week of hell to barely noticeable and easily dealt with, I've genuinely cried with relief several times and can't stop raving about the Merula XL.I tried so many cups before this one and they were all objectively good but none worked for me, I was so frustrated I was regularly in tears just trying to get through my period. This cup was my final attempt and I'm sooooo glad I tried it. Took me a couple of inserts to get it to open properly (tip, don't fold past halfway down the bottom part and it pops open easily) and about a day to get used to it; it is slightly larger and firmer than average, but that's exactly what I needed due to a high cervix that moves around a lot and stronger internal muscles than I previously thought. It also tends to place itself perfectly, I still check every time but haven't needed to move it once so far.For the first day or so I could feel it and it did make me cramp a little (and I do mean very little, needed no rest, heat or pain relief which is highly unusual for me), but now my body has adjusted it's actually reduced my cramps to hardly any - normally I spend three days wrapped around a hot water bottle pretty much unable to move, using this cup I've barely felt any cramping at all and have been able to remain as active as usual throughout. There are no words for how happy this cup has made me, it's literally given me back the quarter of my life for which I was previously debilitated. Thank you!

This cup CAN handle extreme periods!
Wow! Having always struggled with heavy periods, I have tried to find a cup that would work for years and finally have! This cup is amazing. The rim at the top means that you can remove the cup and not easily spill the contents.. the “ladder” pull at the bottom is easy to use and comfortable to wear. It holds an amazing capacity! I would usually go through a super max tampon ( or when in the US the xxl tampons) every 30 mins on days 1&2 of my period but I was able to leave this cup in for HOURS on the first day... and consequent days, leave it almost the entire working day. Absolutely revolutionary for me.It is sturdy and so feels firm to begin with but after a day I was used to the feeling... and having had 2 children, it stays in place, fits well and sits where it needs to!I would 100% recommend this cup for anyone post-childbirth with extremely heavy periods and endometriosis.

A game changer
This cup has changed my period drastically. It's the second cup I've tried (first was the mooncup) and I can't see myself trying anything else, aside from perhaps the smaller size for lighter days.It did take a few tries to get it in and open so my first cycle with it was a definite struggle. But it was so worth the perseverance - no leaks, no discomfort, and the ring pull makes it very easy to remove compared to a stem. Great for people with a heavier flow who want the peace of mind that it's not going to leak or need changed every few hours. It can be a bit tricky to get it to open but a little bit of squishing and poking once it's inside always does the trick!I still use my mooncup on the last 1-2 days of my period as the capacity of this seems excessive for a light flow but overall it's a game changer. Would highly recommend if the more traditional shape and size of cups isn't working for you.

Love the colour.
Have 3 previous cups but I thought I'd try a larger size for convenience. My body had other ideas and didn't make it easy for me. Only tried the once to be fair. Hoping won't be needing them at all soon... Anytime now... If you understand what I mean. ⌚. Nice looking good quality cup in glorious orange with a colour coordinated pouch ladder stem that was easy to trim to required length. Easy to hold on to stem to remove cup. Unfortunately cup was uncomfortable once put in place and I could feel it and it gave stomach ache. If I had the patience or the inclination I would have tried different insert methods. I don't regret the purchase.

Amazing high capacity cup, no leaks
After struggling with the Lunette cup, I bought this one as needed a greater capacity. It is a lot larger than any other cup so takes a while to get used to inserting it, but after a few months of use I can insert and remove it in seconds. When the suction has formed there is no leaks apart from when it overflows. On heavy days it can still overflow and leak during the night- but this is just because of my heavy flow. At first i struggled to get the cup to fully open, but afterwards i found out it usually opens on its own at least a few minutes after inserting- you can literally feel the suction as it pops open! Overall great cup and works for me, but everyone is different, so beware this cup may be too big for you.

Painful, rigid and unusable
I’ve been successfully using cups for 15 years, (Moon cup and Duchess cup)I got this for my two heavy days due to its increased capacity as my other cups often fill within an hour. However it almost impossible to use. It usually doesn’t open out once in place which causes flooding. It’s so big and rigid it’s very painful. On the occasions it does open out correctly it’s still just as painful and intensifies my cramps. Breaking the seal and removing causes a wave of pain. It just doesn’t work at all for me. Very disappointed. I’ve tried it several times for the three cycles since I purchased it and it’s absolutely unusable.Additional edit. I tried again with this cup. My periods are heavy due to endometriosis. The suction and rigidity and size intensified painful cramps to the point that even my prescribed medication was ineffectual. Also if you have a gush it can fill in less than an hour. For any women who suffer with endometriosis I’d not recommend this product.
