We put it in the dishwasher and it still works great. the plastic has held up and this is sturdy and slices cheese great after the last 3 years

The grater is reasonably sharp and the internal "cup" captures the prepped food as advertised.

I've been without a grater for several years, mostly because I thought I didn't need one. I have a small microplane, but it doesn't work on cheese or larger amounts of chocolate, etc. My food processor can be used, but it's a lot of trouble for small tasks, so I mostly chopped cheese and such with a knife.It seems graters have been greatly improved, if judged by this one. I used it the other day for the first time to shred cheese and was happily surprised by how little physical effort was needed. It doesn't slip on the countertop and the clip on container is very handy for measuring and keeping the grated material all in one place.The shredder appears to be well made and washes up easily. If you need a hand grater, choose this one - I think you'll be pleased...

Bought this to replace a vertical design that was ok. This is an incredibly engineered grater. It has an integrated measuring box, that nicely clicks into place. The grater design works in both directions. It has rubber strips to keep it steady on a counter. It’s the best grater I’ve ever owned. And I’ve had Cuisinart machines that will out produce this, but are a pain to set up, more of a pain to clean, and will mostly stay in the pantry.Whoever designed this device needs a raise and a handshake. This is the grater to buy.

I saw this on a cooking channel and had to have it. The large grating side is medium at best and cuts in both directions. It’s good for things like hard cheese or chocolate, but not so good for softer cheeses or vegetables

Great product easy to Grate

I absolutely love this greater. Nice smooth corners with no sharp edges. An inner collection box with cup measurements on the side, and the ability to use the grater in a horizontal position makes this an absolute winner. Thank you Progressive 😊👍
