Would this work for turning zones of landscape lighting on/off? (The input would be 12 volts - not 110) I just need to break the power or make live

Yes. The unit is rated for a maximum of 125V @ 10A. This is approximately 1250 watts. If you are running a standard 12V AC or DC transformer to power outdoor low voltage lighting, not only will this unit work perfectly, frankly it's overkill as you will only be drawing 200 watts or less in your entire landscape zone if you are using modern LED bulbs (200w @ 5w each = 40 lights!). I have one of these controlling a 3-bulb 12V low voltage street light that only draws 21 watts. It works great! Just calculate your amp draw. As long as you're not over 10A, you're fine. Honestly, you should really consider just buying a Geeni WiFi smart outdoor electrical adapter to plug your transformer into (just make sure your transformer can be set to automatically turn on when you plug it in). They're less than $20 and you can control your lights from anywhere with your phone.
