Filters quite well, better than DE powder in my experience - good value for the price - make sure to absolutely clean your filter grids before using this material... sparkling pool when cleaned/flushed/refilled. Watch your pressure gauge as this cleans so well, your pressure may go up faster then expected. Pre-mix in 5 gal pail before pouring thru side drain into filtration system - go slow and mix well with water to get thin milky consistency to coat grids appropriately. May have to backwash more often and follow MFG instructions.

My mom's pool had been green for about a month. I couldn't see the bottom of the pool. Changing up chemicals didn't seem to be working. My cousin recommended Fiber Clear as an addition to her pool sand filter. Within a week of starting Fiber Clear the pool had turned clear again. Trying Fiber Clear was really the only change. I'm very pleased with this product.

This works! Pool sparkles. DE is like tiny glass shards and is not supposed to be inhaled or disposed of in the yard or sewer because it lacerates good worms and all small life. I switched to cellulose a long time ago and it really works. It's easy to clean filter grids right into the yard, no bad effects. Filers out particles very well and I find i have to clean the grids a bit more often... but that's actually a good thing. After cleaning and reassembling the filter turn on the system to add the fiber. Loosen the fiber powder up and measure out fluffy/unpacked cups! (More fiber is NOT better). Put into a bucket the amount as directed, add water and mix into make a thin slurry. Slowly pour into skimmer. That's it.

great product, easy to use and safe. love the fact that it has no harmful side effects like regular DE. and I honestly think it keeps my cartridges cleaner than regular DE. will buy this again when the two bags I bought run out. I've gone through almost one full bag as my pool was dirty and I had to clean the cartridges twice. love that it comes with its own scoop so I don't have to worry about how much to use.

We’ve used this product with excellent results.

We just finished our first bag and it seems to work well. However, we definitely have to backwash more frequently than we did when we used DE. When I clean the filter in the Spring, I'll have a better idea of how well (or not) the backwashing works. With DE, I would have to manually empty and clean the filter media at least once a year.
