Love this money
My granddaughter and my self play with the money every week. The coins are shiny but resemble real coins........, in the shape eg 50p has hexagon sides, the notes are the all the same size, smaller than real ones but are the correct colours. Imaginative play, counting, adding for older children ............ What's not to love with this great set of money. Yes we recommend.

Great educational budget set
This set of toy money is great for kids for play and for educational purposes. It's a nice way to help teach them about money and the denominations of the UK currency and also makes a great addition for any play shop or tills. This set comes with 2 of each coins and 5 of each notes. The notes are only printed on one side and the coins, although fairly true to form, the colour of the 1p and 2ps are not copper, they are gold, but shape and size wise I think this is great. My 4 year old has been loving playing shop with this set and value for money is brilliant. One issue to be wary of, some of the coins have pokey bits sticking out around the edge which could scratch a child and hurt them. Considering this is a toy for youngsters, the edges should have all been smoothed off better. Apart from that, this is a really nice play set, maybe not so much for really young kids as you have the danger of them putting the coins in their mouth.

For education & fun
This play money set includes a few copies of the current UK £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes with the head of Queen Elizabeth II. They’re a good likeness of the real thing in terms of design (although the white margin all around is not consistently included and missing in some cases). However the play notes are all the same size when the real £5 is smaller than the £10 and the other notes are incrementally bigger. There are 2 coins in every denomination and they’re made of really light plastic. The copy sizes are accurate and gold or silver, matching the appearance of the real thing. However the £1 and £2 coin copies appear completely gold when the real things have a centre and an outside ring around in a contrasting colour. Coins are printed with ‘COPY’ on one side and notes with ‘PLAY MONEY’. Because the coins are small, this pack is not suitable for children under 3. Copyright Henbrandt Ltd. Made in China with UKCA and CE logos. These are on the whole a really good education tool for children or will entertain them when playing ‘shop’ but won’t be confused with real money. Excellent!

Great product
Love this fake money set. Quality could be better but does the job. Great for children who love playing with money. Very versatile can be used in board games or can be used in role play. Looks like real money!

Nice concept poorly executed, Not suitable for everyone
This is a good concept: to make kids familiarise and teach, but the actual product was pretty disappointing.First, the notes are printed on one side only, which immediately caused my kid to lose interest. Second, and most important, is that the coins have some edges that can be unpleasant on the skin. ( see pictures) and third, the 1p and 2p coins are gold, rather than copper, and £1 and £2 are far from being close to realistic. Although, 50p and 20p coins are very accurate.I can see that the manufacturer is trying to cut all corners to keep the price low, but coins with sharp edges and one-sided paper notes make the product undesirable.Nice concept, but the quality needs to be upgraded. I cannot truly recommend this product.

It's Money Jim, but not as we know it . . . .
OK I am being a bit harsh as I can see the point of this and I'm sure small children will find it great. But as an adult I just feel it slightly misses being something you can think , , , , , Wow some fake money that sort of looks a bit real. Maybe the issue is, it is not allowed to look too much like real money just in case someone tries to use it, I understand that, Only the notes here as just a bit too small. . . . I had a cunning plan to create some artwork only I think I will pass this on to my youngest grandson and see if he likes itTrouble is the youth of today prefer real money. Is three stars a bit harsh well I reckon fake money is always going to be less exciting that the real thing. If it was real it would be a certain 5 stars and a bargain.

Encourage young learners to develop money recognition and early financial awareness 💷
This Play Money for Kids UK Coins and Notes is an ideal toy for young children to learn to recognise the currency of the United Kingdom. My grandson enjoys playing shop as well as learning the value of the coins and what can be bought with cash. The banknotes are realistic looking and made of thick paper and the coins are shiny - both well-made and great for role play and to encourage young learners to use their imagination to develop money recognition and early financial awareness. The play money helps little ones with number and coin recognition and simple adding and subtracting. My grandson loves them. One tiny niggle... the notes come with sticky tape on the back of them which is hard to peel off without damaging the paper, so 4 notes have sticky tape on the back of them.Great toy. Good price.

Cheap set, does the job but how long for?
For £2.99 what do you expect? When opening the pack, be aware the notes are cellotaped together, so when you peel the plastic off, take extra care when getting the notes out.. or they will tear! The notes are just printed on glossy paper, I don’t feel they will last long in children’s hands. I feel they should be laminated or something to protect them a bit more. The coins are cheaply made, a lot of the coins had sharp plastic bits on, where I assume it is where the coins have been separated in the factory when bulk made, they could do with sanding off. Does make it feel rough in the hands. Especially children’s hands!Overall, it’s a basic set, and for £2.99 you get what you pay for.Don’t expect them to have longevity but if you wanting something simple it’ll do the job.
