The description says these are cotton, but the gusset is 100% polyester, as shown in pic. Emphasis is placed on being "climate neutral" and Peta approved, which I think is dishonest. Also there is nothing to show you what the sizes equate to in the pics they provide or the description but it is, helpfully, on the box, so I've included their sizing guide as well to take the guess work out of choosing your size.

I'd been wanting to try "period undies" for a few years, but I've been scaaaared to do so. What if they leak? What if I smell? The questions kept going around in my mind. When I got the chance to order and review these, I figured here was my chance to test them out, even though I was afraid. I'm very much a "what if" thinker.I ordered these in a medium, and they fit me perfectly. They're snug, but not uncomfortable or tight. They don't make my tummy feel constricted. I Really Dislike tight things around my stomach during that time of the month, and these don't bother me at all. For size reference, I'm shorter than average and weigh about 116lbs, but have a very "fluffy" tummy.When I wore these for the first time, I wore them at night and made sure I wore dark pants to bed, "just in case." I was really pleased to discover that I hadn't needed to worry at all! These worked fine through the night, and didn't have a single leak or smell by morning. Make sure you do rinse these out before you put them in the wash. Since they are totally black, it's kind of hard to tell when they are getting full, so I'd suggest choosing an amount of time you'll wear them for and not go over that. Like overnight, or during the day, etc. I wouldn't wear these longer than eight hours except for overnight, no need to wake up early if you're lucky enough to get more than eight hours of sleep.I'm really glad I got to try these, and now that I know I like them, I plan on ordering more!

I just wish I could find a pair of these underwear that aren't not so bulky feeling. Overall, this is a nice pair with good coverage and some stretch, but they feel very bulky. Also, the giant "flo" logo on the back is a little obvious of their intent, but I like the rainbow band and do find them to be fairly comfortable over time.

These are a good pair of period panties. They are soft & thick & worked well for me for holding my flow. However I am just not personally a fan of such high waisted panties. I have an ample mom belly but tiny thighs so there always seems to be such a huge gap created by my body & the way high waisted panties lay. However, the thick waistband makes these really easy to roll down so they aren’t completely unusable to me. It’s a bummer though cause that hides the adorable rainbow waistband. I would buy them again in a heartbeat if they were offered in low rise but if you like high rise panties then definitely give these a try.

If you suffer from heavier periods, the inability to use/change a tampon regularly, afraid of leak throughs, etc, thank these Aunt Flow panties are for you! I love them and they do work! They are thicker than some other period panties I have had. That is fine with me as I know it is made of material that will last a very long time.Panties fit as they should and are very comfortable. I highly recommend.

I've been hesitant to try period panties in the past but I now have a second pair in my cart ready to buy. First off this is UK sizing so if you are in the US size up by one size. So the packaging says I should get a 2X but I got a 3X and it fits perfectly. I have been wearing a cup for a few years and like it a lot however it does have a tendency to leak at night often requiring a 4am change out. This avoids that completely! No fear of soaking through a pair of pj pants these keep everything dry and fresh all night. Even when leaks happen these catch everything and I am not left feeling swampy and covered in blood or worried about our mattress and bedding. When worn they feel like completely normal underwear. Before putting them on I can kinda tell they aren't traditional panties but worn they feel no different and don't add any bulk or make you feel like you are in a diaper. These even look cute if you have to change in front of people, so I can see these being a life saver for team sports/locker rooms/gyms/etc. Anywhere where there might be a slight fear of red covered butt cheaks after running laps with a leak. I would feel completely safe wearing these overnight, changing in front of others, sports, etc. In my case I did spring a major leak in the middle of the night and in the morning, everything was still well-contained, dry, and comfortable. This one is a game-changer for me.
