I knew from buying other Gestalten books (published and printed in continental Europe), that the spine is flipped the other way around, so if you're buying this for bookshelf/ coffee table styling, be aware that to have the book title reading the correct way up, the book would be laid upside down. I don't mind this.I love the size of the book - great for layering as it's a big size.The only thing I'm not very pleased with is the colour of the book. It's marketed as crisp white, which is why I bought it (as opposed to other renovation interior design books). It's actually a slightly dull, greyish off-white. Just be aware of this when ordering.The actual content of the book itself is super cool. I love the creative ways that people have repurposed a space, and it's quite amazing what some of the spaces have become. This content is definitely not for the 'average' person though (like me!). If you're looking for renovation inspiration, unless you're renovating an old shipping container/derelict church etc., then you probably won't find many 'useful' visuals in here, just cool pictures.I like the book overall and it looks good on my bookshelf.

It is a book of how and - the most importantly why- was made a certain renovation.I like the book. The story is interesting, the pictures are great and there is a philosophy behind it. So if you will not follow the exact receipt of applying this knowledge to your project, you can always use the authors philosophy as a stating point.

Bought for my Dad for Christmas as he's looking to extend our family home. Said it has given him "great inspiration" and changed his thinking about what he wants to do. So good he re-bought it and sent the copy to my brother.

I bought this for my Mum, she loved it. It's quite architectural in it's detail but still has plenty of lovely photos for anyone else that has an eager eye. I got it to partly save my step dad from her relentless renovation ideas. All pipe dreams of course
