1GB Replacement Memory RAM Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 530 (DDR2-5300 - Non-ECC) Desktop Memory

I bought 2 off these to upgrade my sister's old Dell Inspiron 530. Works flawlessly. Good fast delivery (even though there was no fast delivery option when I ordered) all the way up to a wee village in the very North of Scotland.I just put them into the two spare memory slots in her computer and this breathed new life into it - it is useable again. The original memory was only 1Gb so the upgrade has brought it up to 3Gb.It is possible to remove the existing 1Gb (two 0.5Gb cards) replace this with another 2Gb and bring it up to being a 4Gb machine (the maximum possible for her Inspiron 530), but she does not need the machine that much so its probably not worth the bother.I believe that some variants of the Inspiron 530 (530a etc) take more than 4Gb of memory. As a non geek, silver surfer, I purchased this RAM upgrade to improve the performance of my ageing Dell Inspiron 530 PC.The delivery was very prompt and the memory card was installed and working in 5 minutes. I also used a pair of TP Line adapters, purchased from Argos, to by pass my wireless router and create an ethernet connection to my broadband service supplier.Hey presto! a new lease of life for my old PC, and much, much faster surfing the web. All for around £45 in total. No need to buy a new PC just yet. Very happy with the RAM card and the overall outcome.

Improved the performance of my old 32 bit computer but not a much as expected. I would like to mention how helpful the supplier was when I contacted them by phone. Excellent service. I would buy again from this company.
