Moorebot Scout Model E - Versatile Mobile Camera Robot, Waterproof, Indoor, and Outdoor, for Monitoring, Inspection and Robot Hobbyists

Essentially this robot has everything you need in a robot and security bot. I think the coolest thing is being able to write your own scratch program and upload it to the little robot. I hope the company thrives, because I would enjoy having features like coding with a computer instead of an app and for the code to fully upload so the app doesn’t have to be open. It’s awesome watching it climb towards its charger and setting routes for it to travel while you’re gone, and it can connect to the home network, so if something catches your eye you can remote control it with it’s camera to investigate. I would want to buy all sorts of kinds of Moorebots!

It moves super slow, even on a full charge. It gets lost and can't find it's way back to its charger. Strangely, it tries to follow its lengthy path back around and back to its charger rather than immediately go straight to the charger even if it identifies it's charger right in front of it. No matter how sensitive I make the controllers, it still is very difficult to navigate. It struggles to connect to -and remain connected to- my wifi. My wifi is very strong and I have a mesh system. While I'm sure it's possible there are dead spots in my home, this bot struggles EVERYWHERE with connectivity. All in all, it's a great idea but it just doesn't operate well enough to justify this high cost. I'm returning mine today

This little gadget is fun for its price. I use it while I’m out of town or when I’m at home bored just to move around the house and outside due to it’s small size allowing it to fit in many places. I purchased the tank with the tracks and it is a little beast for its size. The night vision is also really good! I have tested it on carpet, dirt, and grass; as long as you have connection and battery life you’re solid. It can flip on its back at times and you’ll have to physically turn it upright. An issue I’m having trouble with is the automatic return to home charge, it simply won’t. You’re going to have to park it yourself once you get good at maneuvering it.

I have a flooding & mold problem under my house and a very narrow crawl space. To find the water leak I needed a tiny remote controlled robot. I decided to get this robot as I was happy with the previous model. This unit is definitely an improvement over the previous model. I like the waterproof feature and the traction is better in the uneven sandy terrain. One issue I saw early enough is that the robot is prone to roll over. I purchased an add-on that the maker called "bump safe" and also attached a string to it in case I needed to pull it out. So far so good 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ordered it yesterday, it arrived this morning, i had it setup in about 10 minutes and then I went to work. from work I can access the app and check in on my dog, plus have a little fun and drive "Tankie" around. its home base is in the kitchen where its charging station is adhered to the hardwood floor. there's a good size lip from the kitchen to the living room because of thick carpeting, which the tank treads crawl over effortlessly. I've had the Scout model E for about 6 hours now and haven't had any issues. I'll update if anything arises, but everything so far is 10/10.

App is well made and logically laid out. App control of rover is iffy. Need to have 1 dot to control direction and speed. Rover rotation is not easy to control when driving. One side of bot spins very fast and makes it hard to control. Rover quickly loses accuracy Not a very capable rover due to its size. Tracks need to be shipped off of the rover and kept round, and or possibly made much thinner. The tracks become stiff and oval after manufacturing/installation on rover and get memory/ flat spots in them consuming more power and causing the rover to jerk while driving, This affects accuracy of patrol feature. Nice concept...the bad tracks and its tiny size make it unsuitable for anything much other than a toy IMO.

I was reluctant to purchase this product based on some of the reviews I read but decided to give it a shot after performing my due diligence on the company itself. Like in most cases, there is a small learning curve when it comes to programing but this device works AMAZINGLY well and has a lot of the same type of technology of some of my more expensive drones. Some complaints I read, in my opinion, have more to do with lack of knowledge, and poor internet infrastructure, than the device itself. I am using this for added security in my home and I have performed numerous tests in which ALL have been extremely successful and passed with flying colors. What else can I say, GREAT PRODUCT INNOVATION !

Check before you buy. Initially it was a great toy and surveillance camera to check my dog. Now it fails to connect all the time. The company that created it is out of business. No updates, no customer service. Amazon shouldn't keep selling them. Do not buy before you search the company online. Or search for something else

Hopefully this would have done exactly as it suggests to a good standard, couldn’t be more disappointed. (Should have read more reviews before purchase) Looses signal, unable to dock, camera footage breaks up constantly & the video quality is poor. For my 3yr old grandson to drive around the living room it’s great but that’s about it.

Excelente produto de vigilância, apesar de ter um preço elevado para nós brasileiros, cumpre bem a sua função. O sistema de controle por wi-fi com voz e audio em tempo real juntamente com o detector de pessoas e animais funcionam bem. O único ponto que ressalvo é a patrulha, se estiver em um ambiente com muito obstáculo o robô se perde e desiste de prosseguir o trajeto, se estiver muito longe da base de carregamento dificilmente o encontra. Acredito pela experiência que tenho no ramo, poderiam usar o sistema de detecção de pessoas em objetos também, porém programa-lo para quando identificar um objeto obstruindo o caminho durante a patrulha tentar contorna-lo para prosseguir o trajeto, basicamente utilizar os sensores da câmera como obstacle avoidance, o robo poderia ser mais persistente no trajeto, tentar recalcular para fazer a rota mais curta ou mais longa dependendo da quantidade de obstaculo, ter um machine learning de a cada patrulha ele otimizar o caminho, acredito que via firmware conseguiriam fazer isso, também introduzir um sistema de waypoint para melhorar ainda mais a patrulha, coisa que hj em dia muito drone barato e sem gps faz. Melhorando esse ponto acredito que esse será um dos melhores gadgets de vigilancia no futuro. Em resumo geral estou bastante satisfeito.

Not much better than the first version. Tracks a bit more stable and less prone to getting stuck but route mapping is unreliable and the bot has trouble finding the charger most of the time. No new firmware updates so it is beginning to look like an abandoned product.
